Let me borrow the always accurate mind of Craig and ask:
If I am using twisted 28 gauge 6-7 wraps is that the same as using non twisted and doing 11.5 wraps? I guess mine would be .5 wraps too because they have to be one half wrap to accommodate the way its built.
I'm using non-resister ni200 in a temperature controlled mod so a bit difficult to compare except for size of the metal mass.
Twisted 28 gauge would compare to 26 untwisted but I'd say your on to it.
But I think you would do better with untwisted 28 or twisted 30 at that wattage, it would get up to temp much quicker.

I have twisted 30. we are talking about Lemo right? I have not put twisted in the TGT2

Not to be critical, but...

Every time I hear about all those complicated and time consuming twisted coils, I think of all those posts about how so many rid themselves ( or would not even give it a try ) of great early atomizers like the Odysseus because of having to twist R-NR wires. When twisting in this case its very forgiving.

I have used them for over 3 years? It had so many features that are now almost standard on all these new great atties.
It had JC before most ever had. Maybe I was spoiled by them and the reason I took so long to try anything new.

I would try these newer atties and was not impressed as much because the Ody did it better.

Finally in the last year have atomizers like the TFGT and Flash-e and Phenom and a few others that give you the control and taste , and even easier.

No way around it. Gonna have to get down and dirty like the guys do around here. Too many dry/burnt hits. Need to enlarge my wick hole on the chamber for my TG2's. Went in search of the proper dremel tool online. Think that is what I have heard everyone say they use. Is this $10 one adequate from Harbor Freight?

Worth the extra $, you will probably find all kinds of uses for it. This one is really good. I have the $10 one as well as this one, it does work.
I just checked the bits that the $10 one comes with and it does come with the ones you need for that job.

These ones. (just an example)

So I can get the $10 one that comes with the attachment I need or I can get the $25 one and have to buy the attachment I need? Speed is the difference. Cheap one is 16000 max speed and the expensive one is more than twice that? Is that the only difference? I imagine I am going to want to go slow anyway. Tell me Craig if there is any difference aside from the speed? Quality?
Seriously I can not think of another thing I would ever use this for.
As it is my daughter is thinking of committing me for finding me in my basement/garage trying to twist wire.
I do do my own yard work (riding lawn mower) but aside from that I am not much of a tool worker/fidgeter and the garage is for parking the car

I seem to always get surprised when I accurately measure the shaft that I'm wrapping my coils on. I thought it was 2.5 mm but maybe 2.4 mm, no it's 2.6 mm. 28 gauge nickel, about 11.5 wraps, 0.12Ω running @ 28 watts. Things are progressing so fast with vaping that if my vape gets any better I don't know what I"ll do. ...LOL
A friend just gave some Royal 24 wire, its supposed to be a cross between nichrome and kanthal, so 24 guage acts like 22 g kanthal in the ohms department.I was a little nervous about going this low on the GT. Knowing you are going that low withuot problems makes me want to try this wire now. Its supposed to be similiar to twisting the two different types of wire together, wich alot of people are doing for the flavor experience. Higher notes are better with nichrome, and lower notes are better with kanthal.I dont think I would spend the 8.00 for a6 ft. piece, but someone gave it to me so I will try, if youguys have any advice on going this low ohmage would greatly appreciate it,and is it worth it.

Keep in mind though with a TC mod voltage output is going to be around 2.2 volts not 3.7 volts
0.12Ω with ni200 and a temperature controlled mod would be like 1.2Ω with a regular mod (comparable anyway)
I say go for it, I'd try to stay at .3Ω or above. You're going to have to feed it well.

I did not realize that you were using TC device, now I am back on the fence. All I have and use are mechanicals and a provari. I guess I could put a kick or a fuse in one of my mechs and give it a try,I do hate the taste of rubber though. That makes sense on your description on the voltage regulation with the TC mod, just curious what benefit are you getting then? More flavor, clouds or coolness or feel to the vape is different, I find this interesting. but with a TC mod it kind of sounds like just tootle puffing a sub ohm build.

I have basically been a so called tootle puffer so I dont feel the need for that, however I am experimenting with lower ohms lately.I may end up liking this method, at which point, I may see the value in this. But so far, tootle puffing my way along the vaping trail I usually can tell pretty fast when something is off.
