Taifun GT Discusion!

There are a number of tanks available for TGT2. They should fit but whether they will I don't know.

I'm surprised FT even used the word "Taifun" on the ad for the tank. GT-T is just what they call them so not to get Smokerstore on their back. The "S", no idea. On the TGT1-S the "S" was for "steam" I believe.

I expect it to fit.
More likely than not it will have the thicker glass sleeve, question will be will the thinner glass fit it.

I'll also measure the glass to see how thick it is compared to my GT-V2-S. It is prolly thicker, I'm guessing.

I wondered over to Smokerstore last night and was surprised to see that they had a new shipment of several different Taifuns and small parts on the site.

and it leaked. I tried changing all o-rings to no avail

Thank You chanel, I'll be on the lookout for that when mine gets here then. I was just worried that it was cut out of round on the threading where the sleeve screws onto the base section, or the thread pitches didn't mate up between the sleeve and base. We'll see what I get this time around and report back here.

When I started reading this thread, it was on page 127 Post# 2524, and have been reading as I have had time, to try to catch up. Well, I'm on page 194 now and have learned quite a bit, and have had quite a few laughs along the way. There is so much knowledge packed in this thread that I behoove any and all that are interested in the Taifun to go back and read this thread from where I started for the Taifun GT-2 and newer, or start from page 1 if you are interested in the Taifun GT-1. If you have the time, you will be rewarded with a wealth of knowledge on this RTA from several different poster's, but, pay special attention to the post's by @dwcraig1 and @ccwaters for the more technical and concise answers to problems and advise on this Great MTL RTA.

Edit: That HotCig GT-V2-S I first got is sooo SWEET. I just bought a (5) pack of the replacement glass (that is supposed to be for the HotCig) that I read about in this thread Taifun GT Discusion!. Got to be prepared.

YES..so true. For awhile I transposed things to a word document but then I mixed it up and then I lost it and well....it is no more, but I agree about the wealth of info

I am interested to know if yours works or needs the glass replaced. I might buy some of those replacement glasses if so because I do love the look of the Taifun flower tank and hate that it just sits collecting dust
