I got my VT75 over the weekend, and I've been using my TGTII with three wraps of 28ga SS 430 at 480f. It's vaping well, though I think my coil needs work, and I still need to thin out my juice.

My Kayfun5 should be here soon, and I'm eager to compare them.
Congrats on the VT75 it's a great mod!
I run something just a tad beefier on mine, Genelocity Giant ⌀32.5mm and holds 12ml. ;)

The Taifun's just don't provide me with enough airflow these days. :(

If I can find my short piece of vinyl hose I guess I should do a water flow test between my "modified" (slightly) TGT2 and Kayfun 5 (SXK) to get that Phone Guy off my back (LOL), not even sure what that is up there ^^^^.
If I can't find it I'll bring another piece home from work.(hose)

Edit: I'm curious too.

I don't have any slotted TGT-2's (clones) as I like the tighter draw I get from the stock air hole configuration with the 2mm ID x 3mm OD air tube inserts, but, I just ordered 2 more of the same base/chamber units that chanelvaps uses (thanks again chanelvaps for that tip, I love mine). Now I have (4) base/chamber units and (2) TGT-2-S's, along with the Hexagon and Rhombus SS and glass tanks (all working perfectly with no leaks). Also, I now have (5) Lemo V1's and (2) Lemo Drops with (2) more Drop conversion units, and (3) ErlK's and (1) EK-2 (also clones). All those are my most used RTA's by Far. I put the 2mm ID x 3mm OD air tube inserts that I use on my TGT-2's into my Lemo's and like that configuration a lot. I don't go for Big air, like some do, but that's just me being a MTL'er I guess.

Quite the collection!

Holy crap that's huge! I like it though. The VT75 is heavy enough as it is. Do you have to wear suspenders when you pocket it. Haha. ;)

What temp do you run at? I still don't have that figured out for me. I'm varying from 450f to 490f. Currently I'm at 470f and it seems to be a decent fit at the moment.

My Taifun GT II likes the VT75 though. Best vapes I've had in a while.

Your Taifun is making more noise? Mine is dann near silent. The Kayfun is louder imho

I can't say between those two, but I've noticed my TGTII is a lot quiter on the VT75. I can only guess it's the temp protection. Even my wife commented on it last night.

I had the wife reinforce the seams in my pockets, it does have a little heft to it...

I have dual 5mm notch coils in it running at 65W/480F. It's not really driving the notch coils to their best performance, but I enjoy the cooler vape it provides with that setting. :vapor:

I also use a Brillipower 4500 mAh 26650 in the VT75 which I am very happy with.

How are those notch coils?

I like them a lot.
They are SS316L and work perfectly for TC. Quite big though so they need a bit of room to install and wick. The advantage of the size is they will take a whole strand of Sally's Rayon nicely. Pull it through, trim and tuck, perfect density.

The wire leads are very soft, if you are mounting it in a wire cutting atty you'll have to be careful. I dry burn them below 30W and get good usage, depending on juice and vape style YMMV. Eventually one of the leads will break it's weld to the coil, minimal movement after it's installed is key.

The notch coil heats up and cools down quickly providing great flavor and vapor, but don't really come alive until 40W or higher.

Hahaha that's funny. :)

I've never seen or heard of a notch coil. Google fixed that for me. It's a neat idea. A lot of surface area. I'd be interested to hear how you like them too.

I haven't tried a 26650 yet, but I want to. What kind of charger do you have? I only have a Tenergy, which handles my 18650s.

I would like to find a BIG tank like that, but with a tight MTL draw. I have (2) Presa 100's that can take a 30mm tank, but I just can't find one that has the BIG capacity (over 5ml) AND a tight MTL draw. A 30mm Taifun or Lemo would suit me just fine.

I have those Basen 26650's that I run in my Presa 100's and like them alot. Their 4500 mAh batteries and charge up to 4.2 ish volts just like the 18650's do, but I get longer life with them than I do with (2) 18650's in my Cuboid, running at 11 to 15 watts with a Taifun on top coiled with Nichrome 80 28g set to about 1Ω and with either Rayon or KGD (Heat Capacity is 22.35 mJ/K at 12 watts so quick ramp-up and cool down). I can get around (2) days (maybe a little bit more) vaping with that setup before I have to change batteries. I use a Xtar VC2 charger that says those Basen's charge up to around 4600+ mAh.

I'm looking at that VT75 myself right now.

I'm looking at that VT75 myself right now.

I can't say enough how pleased I am with my Hcigar VT75. I got it just because it was cheap, and as a backup to my eventual purchase of a Therion 133. The VT75 in no way deserves to be just a backup device, and I dare say I'll have to decide which to carry with me each morning, the Therion or the VT75.

It's solid, looks much better in person than in pictures (in my opinion), it pockets well, and it vapes like a dream. The feel in the hand is extremely comfortable, and the finish is very durable. Mine is riding around with keys all day and I can't see any signs or wear or scratches.

The only issue, as others have mentioned, is the threading on the battery cap. The threads are thin, and there's not much purchase for your fingers on the cap. It's hard to get it started, but once you do the threads are smooth as butter. The trick I've learned is just to slowly turn the cap counterclockwise until you feel it sort of "click" into the topmost thread. A clockwise turn from there starts it every time and it goes on easy. Alternately you could just leave the battery in there and charge by USB. I don't, but others do.

I have a Nitecore D2 which will take all sizes, but I leave the 26650 in the VT75 for charging. I find it too fiddly to take the battery out and adjust the base cap/tension screw when putting it back.

The DNA75 has a nice 1A USB charger built in, it auto detects the input current and adjusts the charging accordingly.

You should have a look at this. :)
4 different Air Screw holes, smallest one is 1.2mm (up to 2.1mm, or with the clone up to 2.9mm).

If you flip the AFC ring over on the Genelocity Giant there is a single cyclops hole for single coil use and a single 2mm hole that corresponds to stepped drilled holes in the top cap. You could dial it down quite tight for airflow using the single hole option.

If you look at the picture of the regular Genelocity top cap you can see the single hole option, it is the same on the giant.

The only problem with the Giant version is it's 15mm between the posts so putting a small MTL coil in there with a matching airflow would be quite the challenge.

That is a common issue with Chinese enlarged versions of existing RTAs. Too make them bigger they just hit enlarge button and don't realize that some things should not be enlarged. I think the GS II had that problem when they increased it from 19mm with the juice flow holes.
