Hey all, after reading through these forums have decided to try and swap my 20 smokes a day for something potential less harmful.. Went for a UK supplier as I live in the UK and will share my experience regarding my experience and product selection via the forum...

Main thing I am concerned about is reliability... being a "addicted smoker" it would be worthless for me to rely on a product that goes kaputt after a few days use...

An considering the cost of the products, I expect a reasonable service and durabilty otherwise it would be more expensive than actual smoking, which less face it is simply extortion in the UK....

Anyways after much deliberation I plumped for e-cigs.co.uk which seem to get praise in these forums and I hope only for the most honest of reasons...

What I purchase:

DSE901B Blue LED Mini e-cig Starter Pack
Extra Battery
Extra Vaporizer

50 Marlboro Cartridges
5 Mixed Cartridges..

Came to 78£ which is roughly 2 weeks smoking for me...

Anways as I had to be flash and go for the techy looking black, need to wait a while to get the kit, but I will keep the forum updated as I go along and maybe create a blog to keep track of my progress.

I hoping this can break my realise on tobacco and eventually become 100% nicotine free as it alone is not harmless.

Anyways thanks for a great forum I look forward to contributing and to read more excellent posts. :thumb:

Yes good pouint- I also wonder if osme of hte vidoes made might not juice hteir cartridges with better vapor making juice soemtimes too-- I also SURE would like to know that they prime the atomizers with? Whatever it is it makes the atomizers vapor very nicely for a few days, then htigns start goign down- I'm not aware of any comercial E-liquid that could prime an atomizer liek that!

Factory fluid is one reason I don't like doing unboxings.

As for dripping or priming, I usually follow the same method for reviews, I drain the atomizer by blowing through the battery end, drop 2-3 drops to make sure the atomizer isn't wet, then take a few puffs. I prep all e-cigs, the subject and the comparison models, the same way with the same liquid, which is usually just whatever liquid I happen to be smoking that day. Unless refilling or changing cartridges is part of the demo, I prepare all e-cigs off camera, because YouTube only allows you 10 minutes, and I talk too much.

But the videos themselves are demos, not tests or proofs. My evaluation is done over a couple days of use, not a 10 minute video. And while it's easy to be methodical for 10 minutes, I was seldom so methodical in the real world testing. I just figured that if I followed the same habits with them all, then if my personal idiosynchrocies skewed the results, at least all of them would be equally skewed.

But, I am working right now on refining my methodology for future reviews, and that is the first thing I am addressing. I'm going to establish more specific testing protocols to match my specific ratings. Including testing the e-liquids against each other, and then choosing one to use consistantly for all reviews.

Offhand, I think the e-cig,com e-liquid is the best vapor producer, which would show them all at their best; but I hope I'm wrong, cause I can hardly stand that stuff anymore.
