I'm amped. Tomorrow is opening day for my team. I've been a faithful Houston Texans fan (which has been challenging to say the least) since the Inaugural Season. We've got a good shot at finally breaking through this year. Tomorrow morning will see me up at 6am, off to the stadium and in the lots for tailgating by 8:30 for a noon game. This is what I do on home game days.

The big difference is, instead of an extra pack of cigarettes, I'm now a vaper. Have been for months. I took an eGo to the 2 preseason games, and had no issues. Now I have my first Reo, a Grand. I love it. But I have serious doubts about bringing it through security, ESPECIALLY tomorrow being the 10 year anniversary of 9/11. I've already decided that to make things easier I'm just going to stick to my eGo for the game. My Grand can wait patiently in my car, which leads me to a question. Today I went to a mid-day gig at a local sports store and had to leave my Grand in my car for an hour or two. When I got outside and went to take a hit, there was a surprising amount of juice in the reservoir on top. I don't leave it that way. Did the heat (it was around 90 outside, so definitely a lot hotter in my car) cause that to happen? If I leave my Reo in the glove compartment instead of a drink holder, will it help? Am I risking damage somehow, particularly the battery? I hate to leave it at home, because I KNOW I'll be dying for a hit as soon as I can get back out after the game.

Another question- is there anybody here who has brought their Reo to an NFL game, and how did it go for you with security? Mine is silver/silver, and everybody I show it to says it looks like a detonator box. I agree.

Have a good one! Go Texans!

Just a suggestion, but you could take an extra bottle cap and remove the juice and take it inside with you :)

Don't have any experience with NFL games & REOs, sorry.

ETA: Sorry, it's late :) Yes, it's the heat that does it, it's a common occurance, and I *think* you can just not fill the bottle completely full, but removing it altogether is even safer.

I make sure I leave the mod out of the sun so this doesn't happen in your glove box would work try to keep it upright .I don't think you would have any problems with the grand at a game is a mechanical device. Bring the user guide with you if you get asked show him the paper work .Oh you could always loosen the bottle cap and avoid the pressure build up from the heat

I stealth vaped (didn't exhale) my Portable Juice Steamer (Reo Grand) today at the kid's football game. Nobody said a word. Nobody gave a dirty look. I was more comfortable with it than I ever was with my eGo in public, because it doesn't resemble the traditional cig at all. I haven't yet tried to get past security yet... but I think that once they see it's a Portabe Juice Steamer for your dietary needs, they'll be more than okay with it, especially if your juice is labeled accordingly. Good luck and have fun!

I'm on jury duty at federal court this week. I handed it to the marshall, told him what it was He said that it was *cool* and he hadn't seen one like it before.

I have a jury summons that came in the mail Sat. I am 47 and this is the first one for me, ever!! I live in a town of about 27,000 and I think mine and my husbands reos are the only ones here! But I am taking the dang thing with me on the 26th! So watch out courthouse here I come!!!

Enlighten them! I am sure you would go crazy without it. Good luck if you are chosen to be in a jury.

I vaped at a college football game last week. It was great. I have also vaped in some unique places too. I vaped at the DMV because the lines was so long and I was stuck in there so long. It was a stealth vape and no one noticed. Sadly I have vaped at a funeral home. Now don't go thinking I was standing over someone's body blowing massive billows of vape. I was pretty upset and would usually go out to the smokers pit but I kinda went to a corner, stealth vaped, got my nerves calmed then carried on.

I did the same by my Mom's bedside in the hospital. It was a pain and long trip to get to a different area. I just went to the corner and vaped as needed. My Grand sure helped me through all of it. If I would have still be smoking I would have lost time with her. And that was my last few days before she passed. Guess that in itself is one of the main reasons I love my REO's and am determined I will never be without one.

Just in case, it might be a good idea to take some of those free ECF cards with you, too. That way, you can give folks one if they seem interested, or at least, makes it seem more "legit" :)

I don't have any of those cards or even the money to order any. It is very tough not having a job right now.

This was my first too. I was paneled for a 3 day criminal case. They used a preemptory on me. Used to be they didn't even bother to put attorneys on the panel, but not anymore.

And yes, I stealth vaped in the courtroom during voir dire.

Hey Margie I ordered one of those slick leather cases I saw you post on another thread so I put my Reo on my side and carry it EVERYWHERE!!! Vaped at the Nascar race in july right in my seat and all the smokers had to walk up to the landing.

Cool! I think Griff makes nice stuff. I'm glad yours is working so well for you. I vape everywhere, and explain when I see anyone look. Almost everyone has been really receptive.

I know how you feel, vaping is expensive enough without any "frills". But those cards are free (I think you pay shipping, like $1.00 or something). Takes a while to get them tho. In the meantime, some folks just take one of those cards the vendors often include with their PV or juice or attys. At least it lets the powers that be know you're on the up and up, not trying to pull the wool over their eyes.
