Hey guys i just recently ordered a joye ego from jack at happyvaper.com and i am leaving this weekend to go on a cruise to jamaica but i am scared to bring my e-cig with fears they will take it away. I am flying from canada to florida and with the stupidly extreme tight airplane security these days, im scared that they will think it is a bomb of somekind or something like that and get it taken away. If i did end up bringing it, i wouldnt put it on my carry-on but even then i am scared they will see it on the X-rays and take it. Wat do u guys think, should i just leave it at home or take the risk to bring it with me?

They aren't illegal to take as they propose no risk of fire or expolsion unlike lighters, a few airlines have banned the use of them while on board though they allow them to be carried (you can always duck into the toilet, they don't set off smoke alarms at least I can't get mine to go off blowing vapor directly on it).

You can take liquid in your carry on. All your liquids have to be in containers of 100ml or less, and fit inside a 1-quart clear plastic bag.

I wouldn't worry about it. But then again, I get away with a lot on planes. I took lighters in my carry-on all the time. Sometimes I even put them right in the tray with my other pocket stuff, in plain sight. I've accidentally brought on my pocket knife more than once.

It's amazing what you can get away with when you're young, white, and female. And somehow I never get "randomly checked."

Actually vaper will set off the smoke alarms on an airplane, as unfortunately one of our own found out. The alarms used on plane function differently from those purchased for household (or business) use. If you duck into the toilet use caution!

Great to know. I was very curious on that one!
I always get a blanky and vape in my seat underneath!

I was searched in Charlotte. The agent thought my cartridges looked like bullets. The mistake I made was to have all of my ecig supplies packed in a plastic box in my carryon. They pulled the carryon and would not open it until it went through other scans and a smell test. When they opened the carryon and saw what was in the plastic box I was good to go. If I had just held on to my ecig box, opened it and put it in the tray to be scanned, I would have had no problem.
A few suggestions. Keep liquids in less than 30ml bottles. Put them in a ziplock bag inside another one-quart ziplock bag with your toiletries. Do the same with your batteries. Keep your other supplies handy and ready to be scanned in the tray. If they ask what it is..tell them. You are doing nothing wrong! Act like it and you will have no problem.

DO NOT put your batteries in your checked luggage. Check out the info on what is and is not allowed in checked/carry on at TSA or your aircarrier. Batteries are to be in your carry on luggage. I have flown with my equipment with no problems. Just have your liquids in 30 ml or less containers and in your quart size zip lock bag. It would probably be a good idea to separate atty from battery going through security, although I didn't even do that, and had no problem, no questions asked. If they do ask, just tell them. You aren't doing anything wrong. Happy travels!
