Guess I'll never get around to vaping half of the untried juice I've accumulated lol.

Here is what I ordered this AM.

500ml of 100mg PG nic juice from RTS.
1000ml VG liquid
500 PG liquid

4oz Cobalt Blue bottles for nic juice freezer storage.
4oz Amber bottles for to mix and store unflavored base in.
1/2 and 1oz amber dropper bottles for my creations.

Found these at: Bulk organic herbs, spices & essential oils from Mountain Rose Herbs

For my lab...Spousal unit is in for a surprise:facepalm:

A set of graduated cylinders: Amazon.com: Graduated Cylinder Set 10, 50, 100ml All glass: Industrial & Scientific

A funnel: Amazon.com: GLASS FUNNEL Neutral glass 75 mm, 75 mm stem: Industrial & Scientific

And a set of 3ml graduated pipettes.

I already have the necessary safety gear.

Other than flavorings, anything else that would be helpful?

Speaking of flavorings, I would love some suggestions on a few good tobacco flavorings for making a tobacco base liquid. Wife is a happy camper with Dekang 555 24mg. My everyday vape is Boba's Bounty.

What a cool new hobby this is! Only problem is, it's just so easy to justify spending boatloads of money when I no longer have a $500 a month analog habit for the two of us:vapor:

Sweet! Diy is loads of fun! I can only say that for equipment I prefer syringes, only use the pipettes when I only want a drop of flavoring. And keep a notebook of your recipes so you can repeat and/or avoid repeating recipes and adjust as you go. Sorry, can't help with tobaccos since I have not gone that way.
Maybe a label gun? Have a ball!

+1 on the syringes - I find you get a more exact measurement, and some of the flavors can be pretty sensitive. Just a little too much can ruin a batch. A good recipe calculator is really worthwhile, too. I use breaktru's E Juice Me Up calculator, but a lot of people like scubabatdan's Excel calculator as well. Both have access to recipes anf you can create and store your own. Otherwise, have fun!

Thanks for replies Ya'll.

I do have a couple of syringes that I bought for the 510T tanks. Have since decided I prefer DC Cartos. So I'm good there.

A label maker. That is a great idea! A sharpie pen doesn't work well on either bottles or cartos. To hard to see on the black cartos, and comes off the clears.

Recipe calculator. Sounds like a must do.

So much more fun than buying cartons of Marlboro's!

LOL, I'm typing in my latex gloves!!! I jst dropped in to get some exact calculations on nic %'S AND SAW THIS THREAD.
all i can say is, you will not regret 1 moment of DIY!!!
I use scubabatdan's formulas, but go outside the box, when adding my own % of flavor, my own tastes require higher % of flavoring being added.
so to suggestions:
Some of the best have been shared
things that i have found to be helpful are:
A way to organize all the flavors, Target ( department store here in south carolina) has a set of small plastic boxes that lock on top of each other, I have a stack of 3. 1st box has all my big bottles of flavorings, 2nd box has all my small bottles of flavorings but the best part is it has dividers inside so I can put , say all fruit flavors in 1 section, all drink flavors in another and so on. I have six compartments and 3rd box has small empty bottles for finished mixes.
always write down your recipes mentioned before and the label maker wooo-hooo the best. i find if i wipe the outside of the bottle with alcohol before putting the label on will hwlp it to stick better. mine always peeled off if I didn't
I WOULD LIKE TO ADD AS A FINAL THOUGHT, MIX IN SMALL AMOUNTS, DONT ADD THE NIC JUICE TILL YOUR SURE YOU LIKE THE FLAVOR YOU CREATED, TO ELIMINATE WASTING THE MORE COSTLY OF YOUR SUPPLIES.
I DID NOTICE YOU ORDERED ALL BIGGER SIZED BOTTLES FOR YOUR CREATIONS, WILL YOU CARRY AROUND SUCH BIG BOTTLES WITH YOU??? AND GLASS AT THAT?? TRY SOME 3ML. OR EVEN 5-6 ML BOTTLES TO START WITH.
Finally have fun , explore and be creative, Ive made some real whoppers:facepalm: and some real keepers!!! :p
If you can figure out a way to clean those plastic bottles and store them some how, let me know, i have a heck of a time with that...

Definitely going to need a organizer. Just order what seems like every flavor Perfumers Apprentice has to offer lol.

The big blue bottles are for long term storage of the 100mg nic juice. The big amber bottles are for storage of the diluted base. I have a fair number of small bottles, but after ordering all those flavors tonight, you're right, I need more.

Like the tip regarding experimenting with 0 nic juice till I know a creation isn't skanky. So, 0 nic, and say 18mg nic juice taste about the same I take it?

IMO, the perfumers apprentice is DA'Bomb!!!
I test a new mix and only use VG a lil sweet water and give it a day or two then try it.
18mg in nicotine is going to change your flavor. I never mixed at that % and always ordered even lower % from vendors. when I PIF'D, I got some higher % nic juices and wound up with a headache. So I can't honestly help you too much on that subject.
anyway good luck and happy mixing

I think everyone has covered the bases here, the only thing I can add is my own tobbaco base concoction.
You will need the following:

Perfumers Apprentice - Cotton Candy (Circus Style) 2 x 1oz

TOB506 Commercial Cigarette 4 x 1/2oz

Perfumers Apprentice - Tobacco Absolute (1. Pure) 1 x 2.5ml

Now, the cotton candy from perfumer apprentice is ethyl maltol suspended in PG @ 10%, warm the cotton candy and the 2.5ml of TA (tobacco absolute) in a sink of HOT water.

Get a 4oz bottle to add everything into, uncap the cotton candy and pour it all into the 4oz bottle, then uncap the TA, it will not be thick now as the hot bath has made it thinner. Use a pipette (note the TA will stain the pipette so use this pipette only for TA) and put .3ml of TA into the cotton candy (About 6 drops). Now cap the cotton candy and shake until it is mixed. Now add the seedmans concentrate to the cotton candy and shake until mixed.

The result is a approx 120ml of tobacco base that is very satisfying IMO @ 10%, and you can add hazelnut or peanut flavor to your mix to give it a nutty flavor. Add vanilla or black cherry to give it those notes.
When adding menthol us it at 3% to the 7% tobacco base.
Well hope this helps.

Very cool Scubabatdan. Thanks to you and everyone here on ECF for all the help and advice.

Looks like Linda at TPA will be getting another order soon.

I did get some of the Tobacco Blend that you helped TPA to create. If you or others have some recommendations for recipe's with the flavors I got in yesterday, that would be great!

My DIY gear is rolling in. Won't be until Monday till I get the empty bottles and the "lab" equipment I ordered. Gonna order a label maker tonight.

But, I do have enough stuff here to have some fun this weekend. Have some empty juice bottles, syringe, pipette's etc.

Nic juice from RTS came in today. Flavors from TPA arrived yesterday. Both vendors shipped FAST, and well packaged.

So here's what in the TPA box:
