Most subΩ tanks don't come with an option to purchase coils higher than 1.2Ω to 1.5Ω. Not that I have seen, thus far.

If you are looking for a subΩ tank that you can M2L inhale or direct lung inhale the Kanger Mini Subtank may be one worth considering. It also comes with a rebuildable base should you ever get into rebuilding.

Both 0.5Ω and 1.2Ω horizontal coils or 0.5Ω, 1.2Ω and 1.5Ω vertical coils are available for purchase.

Kanger Subtank Mini, you can buy the coils or build on the deck. You should also consider the Kuro Koiler as a coil building tool, makes coil building look easy.
Also check out a vertical coil build (you tube) for the Subtank Mini deck. I am a mouth to lung hitter and use the 1.2 ohm coils at 18 to 20 watts. The first thing I did was to replace the car exhaust sized drip tip with a more restricted one, it helps a lot.

Sounds like the subtank mini is what i need. I like to just buy my coils, slap em in and vape but im sure i will eventually get into making them. Are the 1.2 coils expensive?

You might want to Hold Off for a Week or so to get a Subtank Mini.

Because Kanger released a Change to the RBA Section that people say makes it wick better with High VG e-Liquids.

They included the New RBA Section with the SUBOX Kits (K-Box Mini Mod + Subtank Mini). Retailers are just starting to get shipments of the New Suntank Mini's to be sold as a stand alone RTA.

You can tell the Difference between the Latest RBA Section and the Original ones by the 2 Holes in the RBA Barrel. And the Screw that holds the RBA Barrel to the RBA Base.

Good choices. The new vertical coils for the Kanger subtanks should be widely available shortly, and it comes in 0.5 and 1.5 ohms. Works well for MTL and lung hits depending on the airflow. Small question... is it vapenstein or vapensteen? ;)

I just bought the new subtank with improved airflow from sweetvapes and I love it, but it's not as great as I thought it was going to be. They made the dual air slots smaller so you're really only getting a minimal amount of extra airflow.
Don't get me wrong you can tell the difference, but it didn't hit me over the head like I had imagined. I love both versions of the subtank. I've never ran one in standard coil mode yet, I went straight to the rba lol and never tried the other coils. The flavor is amazing, and I believe the OP will be able to restrict the airflow with a 1.5 coil and have no issues getting great mouth to lung hits.
Dr Vapenstein, you're gonna love this little kit of joy coming your way.
