I am digging my MAP tank.

MAP Tank Mods

They have a bunch of options now. Mine is a single coil 3.2 ohm. They use a E2 (ceramic) coil assembly in a larger tank tube. Nice thing is you get great flavor and great vapor due to how the coil is. I like it WORLDS better than the E2 cartos or clearomizers which also use this coil assembly, but in my experience don't wick well and often taste not burnt but "tired". And clearos tend to fall apart after a while.

You could, with the right adapter, use it on the kr8 batt, but it would look weird. For more vapor, COV now has tanks that will hold a whole DC carto inside it. The carto is "punched" with a hole in the bottom to allow juice from the tank to enter the carto housing. Haven't tried it, but it looks really great. The tanks are about $25, but you can get replacement coil assemblies.

MAP, by the way, means Most Angry Pirate, the moniker of the inventor.

Other vendors sell tanks. they are similar to the MAP design. Can't speak for them, but I do really like my MAP! In fact, while I had mine for about 6 months, I just started using it last night. So far no leaks.

I've never liked the CE2 cartomizers, on which most of the large tanks have been based. So I am especially intrigued by the new tanks that are based on the DC (dual coil) cartomizers, such as that $27 DCT MAP Tank from Clouds of Vapor, which Kurt mentioned. There also are the similar $25 Vape-O-Matic Liquinator from Vaporescence and $20 J-Tank from ElectronicStix (and reviewed by pbusardo).

I've been using the Liquinator tank for almost a month and I love it! This has also been my first jump into cartomizers (I'm using regular resistance Boge 510 cartos in the Liquinator). You can also purchase LR cartomizers.

It's so great, I haven't touched an atomizer in all that time. This is really great trouble free vaping (if you don't mind the big knob on top). I haven't had a single spill or leak and I got used to the tank on top quickly (I'm using it on a Darwin mod).

Keep in mind, you can either buy precut cartos or if you have a Dremel you can do it yourself and save some money on great deals on 5 packs of cartos that are out there. You'll also have to peel off the plastic black paper on most cartos unless you find a vendor that has the stainless steel. I use GooGone to clean any adhesive and then some Alcohol to wipe off the GooGone to clean it well before putting into your tank with liquid (GooGone would taste NASTY!).

You also can drill and use a spring punch to make a hole in the cartos if you don't have a Dremel. Some people are just using a large sharp nail to put the intake hole in the cartos. There are several videos and places on the forum that discuss various methods of getting holes for liquid intake in a carto. If I can do it, you can do it!

Using the Spark Plug, you'll have to have an adapter (901 to 510) 901/808D Battery to 510 Atomizer adapter in order to use the Boge 510 cartomizers.

I'm pretty sure you can use 901 cartomizers in the tanks designed for 510 cartomizers (they should be the same tube size)... ask the tank vendor (before you buy) if there are any issues with using 901 cartomizers! Then, you won't have to worry about adapters and can start vaping on your new tank right away!
