So, I managed to lose one of the tiny washers, or seal rings, that fit on either end of my Protank II mini tank. I swear it has to be within a 6 square foot area of my downstairs bar sink, but it simply won't reveal itself.
Without that ring, of course, the tank leaks like a sieve. I found a washer in my toolbox, a black hard-rubber type thing, that actually fits perfectly and seals it up fine (probably better than the original small white washer).
But I've gotten a little worried that maybe the juices that eat plastic will also eat away at that washer, and that I might be vaping petroleum products. Anyone have an opinion on this?
(p.s. I have found and ordered some replacement seal rings for the tank, and I've set it aside pending delivery of those, but I'm still interested in the opinions of some the chemists/engineers out there as to whether it's safe to use household spare parts in a vaping tank).
