I love the 1.5ohm DCT from smoketech. I also have a 808 usb passthrough that runs at about 5 volts. Like many others though, the PT refuses to fire on the 1.5ohm DC carto (I have a 510 to 808 adaptor). I'm assuming that the PT is seeing it as a short because of the ohm rating. It IS plugged into a 2A usb wall adaptor, so I know the power is there. I have one of those piper 510 PT's, VV, plugged into the 2A wall usb, and it kinda works, but it feels underpowered, even at 4.2 volts.

The 808 PT works however on a 510 boge 2.0 carto (and above, ohm wise). If it powers a 2ohm single fine, shouldn't it power a 2ohm DC fine as well? I want to invest in a few 2.0DC pre-punched carts from madvapes, but I don't want to get stuck with a bunch that don't work on my 808 PT.

Get a higher ohm carto, like a 2.5 or 3 ideally if you're looking to vape at 5V. If I try to use a LR carto on my Provari with the voltage too high, it gives an error and will not fire.
The converse is also true: If I use a high resistance atty or carto with too low of a voltage setting, it's pathetically weak..
