Tanks(non-rebuildable) vs RDAs

So I'm wondering what the popular vote is on Tanks (non-rebuildable) vs RDAs.

My opinion on the matter is RDAs.

What I'm using.

Mod: Aspire cf sub ohm

RDA: Dark horse

Tank: Kangertech sub ohm nano

Ohms: 0.5

I'll explain my opinion by saying my pros and cons of both

Tank pros
I don't have to carry a bottle of juice or extra cotton.

I use less juice and save more money.

My battery on my mod can last a few days. I've had one cheep itaste last nearly three weeks on a charge.

Tank cons
Flavor is not there.

Vapor is not there.

The coils are hard to rebuild not to mention if u don't do it right it could ruin your day very quickly. They are expensive and need to be replaced often.

Flavor overlap is almost always going to happen unless u completely tear down your tank and clean every inch. Not a big deal at home but sucks when your out and about.

RDA pros
Flavor great

Vapor....what ever you want it to be haha

Changing flavors no problem. Just rip the old cotton out and smash some cotton in the tube

Coils can be what ever your battery can handle

RDA cons

I have to carry a juice bottle with me.

I have to carry cotton with me

Battery life hahaha what's that if u are on a sub ohm coil.

If you over drip your hands will be sticky

Juice is gone before you know it

Dry burned hits will happen

So that's what I based my opinion on but I don't have a RTA yet but I want to get one by next month. What side are you on?

Some dandy tanks out now. I rebuild all the stock coils. Only tank I have not been able to yet is the Joytech Delta 1. I went to a dripper event at a shop with three tanks and all the drippers had their mouths hanging open and comment how all my tanks out preform everyone's drippers. All to do with building the coils and how you wick them. All stock coils are rebuildable. I buy a tank (have over 50) and never buy coils. I rebuild the ones that come with the tank. CHEERS!

The last non-rebuildable tank I used was a Nautilus, and it's been a long time since then. RDA all the way, all day.

You mention sub-ohm battery life as a con. Maybe with a mech. My ADV is .45 ohm and I use dual 18650 regulated mods at 65 watts (iPV3 or Lotus LE80 depending on my mood), they last all day. I swap batteries every morning before I leave for work. I've only run dry a few times, and those were drinkin' nights

The SubTank Nano is the one without the RBA section right? If you had the full size or mini you might enjoy it more since you can build your own and not pay Kanger for Overpriced Crapshoot Coils. But RDAs get as much use from me as my RTAs, depends on where I'm vaping. If I'm at home I'll drip, if I'm going out I bring a tank with me.

I'll be honest, there are days I don't even bother to drip at all, and just use the quad coils in a tfv4 all day long. I don't use any less juice, it wrecks my batteries, and I only use 1 juice in it.(Bavarian cream, french vanilla, chocolate, honey, and the faintest hint of espresso, yeah it's amazing!) Those cons aren't enough to detract from the ease of use and "perfect" vape I get from it. It's also absurdly easy to fill, and I get to watch a bunch of tiny bubbles come out of it. No really, lots of tiny bubbles. Lots.

I use my drippers for every other liquid I use, but the smok really brought out something special in my favorite juice, and I've had a hard time putting it down since.

Practically unused tanks in current lineup: Goliath v2 rta deck, Goblin Mini RTA, Atlantis v2
Occasionally used Rdas in current lineup: 2 Velocity clones,(one with kanthal one with Ni200) Doge v1, Freakshow, Mephisto clone

I wish I wanted to use my Velocities more, but I just can't put that stinking tfv4 down.

Right I was really disappointed when I realized I had got the wrong one from the shop. And that's why I want a RTA so I can have the best of both worlds

I'll add something else, since you're thinking about getting an RTA soon. The best recommendation I can give is a Lemo (original, not v2). Super easy to build and wick, holds plenty of juice, and doesn't leak. And the vape quality is very satisfying with a proper build at wide open airflow, even for a "cloudsbro" type like myself. Haha.

Same thing here. 2.5 years later and I have more stuff than I know what to do with. It's a full-blown fun hobby, and as a bonus my health has improved immensely. The funny thing (or messed-up, depending on how you look at it) is that I use maybe one RDA and one RTA on the regular. The rest of the stuff is for impulse builds.

I beg to differ. I have 4 Subtank mini and loving them. The taste are there and the vapor, at 7 watts on my IPV D2 are great. I also have several other tanks that I use regularly and give both flavor and cloud. As some mentioned earlier, RTA might be your best solution/option.

I've never had a non rebuildable RTA. As far as rebuildable RTA's though i'd recommend the Youde Zephyrus. Seriously, i've had one for, i don't know, four or five months maybe and was building two coils. A few weeks ago i decided to try building four. So i used some 26g kanthal, and built four horizontal, 6 wrap, 2.5mm id coils with a combined ohm'age of 0.18. I was a little apprehensive about whether it would wick well enough but it seems to be ok. I've been vaping with it constantly for about 3 weeks now and haven't had a single dry hit. The Zephyrus has all the airflow needed for a build like this. To be honest i haven't had a better RTA and haven't heard of another RTA in which i could build four coils in. I made the mistake of using 26g because i thought my IPV4 could only handle a resistance as low as .015 but it actually goes as low as 0.1ohm. So i'll use the coils i have now but will be jamming in some 24g in the not so distant future and aim at about 0.12ohm. If i had some even thicker wire i'd try that !.

So anyone know of another RTA which has an RBA deck capable of a quad coil assembly ?.

I prefer RDA's but I do use bottom fed mods with tanks inside them.

I look at them like shoes, some days I want sneakers and other days I want boots. They both have pluses and minuses.

Tanks are convenient and flavor in them has come a long way but I still love to relax with a dripper. I still feel I get better flavor from some liquids with a dripper.
