Somewhere out there
I am new to using tanks, but have quickly become a tank junkie! LOL I use the hand blown pyrex glass tanks and a carto. They are so easy and the vape is very very clean. Glass tanks will not break from any flavors used, they are the best in my opinion. I love them. I get mine here- High Desert Ecigs I did do alot of reading before I tried a tank, I did not want one that would crack from ejuice, I did not want one that leaked, so I went with the hand blown ones. I am definitely hooked. bnrk

i love clearomizers because theyre fool proof. However, sometimes around day 3 with them the vapor starts to feel too wet/cool? Not leaking or pooling, just changes and feels way too humid. wonder if that happens to anyone else?
I decided to try the dct. but I feel overwhelmed at having to dremel holes in things. I only bought one dct to try it out, and it was the first cartomizer i used. i didnt make the hole bigger, i probably didnt fill the cart enough when i started using it. i wasted a bit of juice because now it's just sitting there, lonely, with brownish liquid inside.

I was looking at the novas. They seemed nice. I am having an issue with my vision right now where the plastic is loose around the base so it moves around a lot. I am worried it is just going to slid off. I watched a video about cleaning the and the one in the video had a metal band around the bottom of the plastic where as mine is just plastic on the bottom meeting up to the bottom metal part. Sorry I am not very technical and have no clue what these things are all called. I think that is why it is hard for me to understand what people are talking about because I am pretty vaping illiterate.
Someone else probably mentions this but to be assured you're getting authentic Vision CE4+ clearos I'd suggest getting them either from GotVapes or Discount Vapers. Also I believe the *only* place you'll find version 2.5 in the Vivi Nova is GotVapes because as I understand it these units are customized to their specs with longer wicks and better plastic for the tubes. That said, I just bought a vers. 2 from Hoosierecig.com and I've been delighted with it & with their promptness. I already had a couple vers. 1 & had decided I'll be re-coiling/re-wicking the heads on them as needed anyway, so second to dripping these things look like the way to go for me right now.

My best suggestion to anyone who would like a sort of benchmark as to how a juice is *supposed* to taste on your PV: get two or three good quality dripping atomizers & drip tip(s) to fit them. Choose the resistances based upon the voltage your PV runs, & generally about the same Ohms as the cartos/clearos or whatever you usually run on it. I should note here, if you're using an automatic battery just ignore this suggestion - it'll get you in trouble. Dripping attys involve a slight learning curve but be patient & *read the instructions on the vendor's Website before you even order the attys*. If the vendor has no instructions I'd probably check out some other vendors. My personal preference is IkenVape's io6 atomizers. I've also had excellent service from his 510s, and I've read praises for the Cannons which I hope to try soon. The trick to these is catching them in stock; I suggest bookmarking the site & checking back frequently, as they don't sit there very long. FYI the last ones he had were priced at $8.49 each; for reference, my io6 LR 1.5 Ohm finally died after nearly 5 months of fairly hard use.

Just a few thoughts from my cave. Happy Vaping!

I think I'm becoming a convert to the Vivi Nova. The first two versions supposedly had problems. I stayed away from them based on reviews here. But the newly released version 2.5 seems to be working well. I just got a couple and am very impressed so far. In a couple of tanks of juice, the taste is much cleaner than what I was getting with the tank/carto's and is providing very good vapor production. They are very easy to fill, I've had no leaks, there is no carto to prime, and they are rebuildable which makes them very economical in the long run. Just has a tighter draw than the carto/tank I was using and happy with but I think I'm getting use to that now. Definitely worth consideration.

I just got my Vivi 2.5 the other day. I already had a few of the V2s and I'm nuts about them. Anyone who compares them to the 1st version or the Stardust, doesn't know of what they speak. There is only one difference in the V2.5. The wicks are longer and there are 4 of them. The tank is absolutely identical, as are the coils and the base and the airholes and everything else. I feel a little ripped-off by Gotvapes as these were supposed to be the big improvement that they were waiting for and the reason they never carried the V2s. Poppycock. In fact, after testing them, I much prefer the shorter wick on the V2. It doesn't mute the taste as much, wicks faster and seems to give a fuller vape. I believe I'll re-wick these V2.5's, or maybe I'll get lazy and just trim the wicks to see if they improve.

I'm sold on the vivi novas and I'll probably get a couple more. But I'll skip the V2.5's. They are a half-step backwards, IMO. BTW, I use 70%VG, so if the long wicks are supposed to improve the wicking, they don't. Give me a short, fat wick over 4 long, stringy ones any day.

Do you know if cracking issue is fixed with Nova V2.5? Is that tank really good one?

Gotvapes claims that the 2.5s have a different plastic that is crack resistant. You couldn't prove it by looking. They feel and look identical to the V2 tanks. The system itself is fantastic and the plastic is less prone to cracking than the Stardusts or the DCT. It's thicker, but still polycarbonate. I can't say enough good about the V2. I prefer it over the V2.5. I bought a few metal tanks for when I use acidic juices. They fit perfect, look sharp and don't leak a drop. I've been vaping on one for 2 days now and it's surprising how not-inconvenient they are. I can tell how long it takes to get low on juice and it takes 2 seconds to unscrew the top and take a peek.

Okay, it sounds like what you're talking about here is using an atomizer (or atty), with a cartridge (small plastic job with some filler in it) that you stuck on top of the atomizer. That wouldn't be considered a tank, just a cartridge. I'm not sure how popular those things are now a days, and I only tried to use them once.

If the above is the case, and you've only used that and stardusts, then you haven't used a cartomizer yet. A cartomizer is kind of the evolution of what you started with (please someone correct me if I'm wrong). It combines the filler and the atomizer in one unit, and adds an air tube up the center. In my opinion, that is worlds apart from what you started with.

A tank is basically just an addition to the cartomizer. It holds a reservoir of juice that, as you vape, is drawn into the cartomizer thus refilling it as you go.

Watch this video, I think it's a pretty good intro to the whole tank thing....

Those are also one of the tanks that I use. I like the smaller tanks that use regular cartomizers, rather than the dual coil cartomizers.....but that a whole different discussion. I would really recommend trying a regular cartomizer first to see if you like how they vape.

Also, just to be clear I'm not trying to take you away from Stardusts, or put them down. They're a great product, and I still use them, as does my wife. I just want to try and help you on this tank thing. I got frustrated and gave up my first round with them, so hopefully I can help keep that from happening for you.

Tried the link but it didn't work. No big deal. Now you just have to explain more too me lol.

My husband used Cartos (what looks like a volcano knockoff of Boge) and we hated them. Had to take them apart to clip the silicon cap, and hope the whole thing didn't disassemble inside because it was a pain to put back together. So if that is what a tank is then no thanks :)

I was looking at the nova and I am not really sure how it is any different from the ego vision (stardust) looks like it holds more juice and you can change the coils but that's about it. Is it just better built?

After cleaning a few of these ego visions (didn't realize that the word vision could cover so many different products) I love them for now.

I am getting all my stuff from myvapestore right now because it takes a day to get to me and they have great stuff so far.

So I ordered from discount vapers and the difference between what I had been sent from another supplier is pretty significant. It appears I had a knock off ImageUploadedByTapatalk1340217053.650164.jpg

From left to right there is a phoenix (mil gave me one to try) the real vision and the knock off. Soooo....with that being said maybe I will have better results. I am liking the phoenix bottom coil as well. It looks a little strange on my twist though.

I posted this before. I'm a tank guy but my friends prefer the stardust's. Due to all the problems that come with some joy-tech attys I will never recommend them again to a newbe, My friends love how much juice the stardust hold and have told me they don't LEAK that is a huge advantage over attys.
For me I am willing to but up with tank problems cawes the stardust to me lack TH and flavor delivery,But I recommend the stardust to anyone starting out.
