Whats the battery life for the 650 vs the 1000? I pretty much vape all day and my inferno will last me most of the day, a little less now that I am using the stardust clearos. I might order one up!

each hundred mah is about 1 hour of vaping...this is a very general rule of course...depending on how often you are vaping

so 650 is about 6.5 hours (this is about the size of a tube of lipstick maybe) and the 1000 mah will give you about 10 hours or so (i think the diameter is the same but its longer than the 650)

Hi Marissa! I have four KGOs and love them. I carry them in my pocket at work and one batt will last me all day and into the next. They're about the size of a sharpi marker. I don't like the stardusts, I use Boge 2.0 cartos and the 1.7ohm single coil resurrectors from Crystal Clear Vaping. And I just discovered CE3 clearos at Discount Vapers. Those are my current favorites!

As much as I love my KGOs... I've ordered an Ego Twist. I think your hubby would be very happy with the variable voltage on the Twist. Dial it up or down for whatever carto or clearo you have on there and you're good to go! The 1000mah should last a fairly heavy vaper all day. I don't even have mine yet and already planning on getting another one, the reviews are THAT good.

I also have an epower and it hasn't left my hand since I got it. What I like about it is the removable/rechargable batteries. One 18650 battery lasts me all of three days,, at least! When the batt dies, you slap a fresh one in and go about your business. It is a bit bigger than the Twist, but I don't mind it,, I still carry it in my pocket.

All that being said,, I think the best bet for you both would be a couple Twists,, they're certainly cheap enough and keep all your other stuff for back-ups. ALWAYS have back-ups!!! I think hubby would especially enjoy being able to dial in the perfect vape for him. Just my two cents:)

The ones sold at MVS are the version 2 with longer wicks. Exactly the same as the ones sold at GV.

Thanks. That's good to know. I had questioned it because the site didn't say anything about them being the better tubes, and they were in color. Up til that link, I hadn't seen the new tubes in colors, only in clear.

I can't really help on the vision tasting burnt, but it shouldn't do that, and I'm sure someone here can help by having you do a minor adjustment on the coil, or the pin or something.

But.....it's really up to y'all on how many. I have two and I want more of them. I have 2 of these and a pack of 5 phoenix's. I like the phoenix's (ce3) ok but am getting better flavor from the stardust (ce4 ego vision type I think) so I would like to have more since I like several juices in rotation. Use one for a bit, switch to another flavor etc. But I can add them over time. These do have to be replaced every so often as well. I see a lot of posts that they often last around 2 months, but it varies.

Hehe...is there ever really anything like "enough" for vapers? At the very least its always a good idea to have spares. If your vision has the short wicks try tipping it every 3-4 pulls to charge the wicks especially if you're vaping at higher voltages or chain-vaping.
Glad to hear your hubby likes this setup! He's gonna have a great time vaping with this. :vapor:

Yes definitely good to have back ups. Some of the older ones that are still available have issues with some acidic type juices cracking them, so if you have those, be careful with that. I have one like that cuz I had to have a purple one, and one of the newer ones that should be able to handle trouble juices.

Ok. Today I am feeling frustrated. I am not sure if my husband is just picky or what but I have been working with his stuff all day. He and I are both using ego twists and stardust. Well every stardust he touches goes to hell. They are all juicy when he drags or crack or burnt or a combination of the three. Mine work great...a little juicy at times and one crack that I fixed with super glue. The twists are great, but he straight up told me today that after a year he has never felt like going back to cigs more. DAMN! So all day I have been fixing his stuff, cleaning his stardusts, refilling, ect. Turns out one stardust he used some really sweet cherry stuff in and now it tastes terrible... Any idea how to get that out? His other one had a tiny crack that I tried to fix but it didn't work. So now I am down to one stardust and he has one until our order gets here from Discountvapers, hopefully this week.

Might try tanks for him, but basically what I need for him is the easiest thing to clean or cheapest to replace. Something that won't leak, and will last him most of the day. Any ideas or am I asking for the holy grail of vaping world. Probably what everyone wants huh?

kGos are unregulated so they start @3.7v & drop in voltage till they need to be charged. .

lol

My info tells me the Kgo battery is regulated 3.7v.
It is 4.2 off the charger. 3.7 till it shuts off. An 1100 mah Kgo will last approx 11 hours before it needs a charge.
Let me know if you find my info incorrect.

Sounds to me like he's not ready to actually quit smoking. My roommate was the same way and I've given up on trying to get him to use e-cigs.

If you really want to quit you will make it work.

I totally agree with you! He hasnt smoked in over a year. But recently he switched jobs and over 75% of the people he works with now smoke. So I think that hurts some.

*snip* If so, I would get two 650's and swap them out when the first one dies. But if you don't need to fit it in a pocket, you'll get a lot more battery hours with the 1000 mah for only a couple more dollars. Personally, I'm lucky to have both 650's and 1000's, so I use the 1000's at home and the 650's when I'm out and about. The Twist works very nicely with the Stardusts. I use it all the time.

I know that's my plan. I have 2 650mah already, one black one blue. Gonna order a 1000mah in blue soon. Use the 1000mah at home and carry the 650s with me. Of course either 650 can be a back up to the 1000mah at home. Heh, gonna need a second charger soon. :p

If only the math really worked that way. :p I find my 650s last roughly 3 maybe 4 hours of sitting at home vaping at around 4v. Which is more than fine, since a 650 will be fully charged during that time.

mah math aside, it's all still better than the pen style KR808s I started with. Those things *almost* frustrated me away from PVs. Glad I have a local store so I didn't have to wait on my initial eGo kit.

The math will work, but it depends on how you vape that will tell you how long a battery will last between charges. A 650mah battery set at 3.7 will give you 26 minutes and 36 seconds of actual vaping if you are using a 2.6ohm carto.. That time is the actual activating of the atty. so if you take long 10 second drags, every 20 seconds, the battery will die faster than someone who takes 4 second drags ever 30 seconds.

Right. But the claims of 100mah = 1 hour that every one puts out there. I'm sorry but it reminds me some of the whole one prefilled carto = 1 pack of cigarettes.

You could always do what I did at the beginning of this year. I just ordered one of each of several new things just to try. I found some things I like, some things I hate.

CE2 - doesn't wick well enough
CE3 - way too hard to fill - my vision isn't so hot!
X7 Micromizer - yuck
Cyclone Vornado - haven't tried it yet
CE2 Giantomizer - good, but a little muted
EMDCC - good
DC tank (with DC that it came with) - good
DC tank (with SC 2ohm instead) - good
Sapphire - good
Stardust - good, just slightly muted but very usable

When I read about your husband, I thought of the Sapphire because it comes with a cylinder and cap cover. Here's a picture of the sapphire with the cylinder and cap:

sapphirecut.jpg

That makes it very safe to keep in a pocket or throw in a purse. But, it's a little long unless you use it with the short little 650mah Ego-style batteries. He could carry an extra battery if needed and maybe a little tin with prefilled Sapphires (which, of course, you would fill for him the day before). That sounds like a good plan, assuming he even likes them.
