Hello,

I have an Innokin Coolfire TC 100 and I've noticed that my tanks are not screwing down all the way into the mod which isn't an issue I've encountered in the past. There is probably about 1 cm of space in between the connection where the tank used to sit flush. The mod is firing fine and the tanks are working so I suppose it's more of an aesthetic issue. Any tips?

Thanks!!

Ah, a cm? That's about a 1/3". That would not be normal. There may be some tanks that sit flush and others that are a hair off, but not that much. You can use little plastic washers in the space, which also would prevent your tank bottoms from scratching your mod. But anything more than a tiny bit off and you run the risk of prying the 510 right out.

I assume you mean 1 mm. You can order spacers from fasttech and kidneypuncher (IIRC). You can also go to your nearest hardware store and look for the thinnest 7/8 inch plastic washers.

I plan to buy a sheet of 1/32 thick silicone and make my own soon. I have a couple of toppers with tall 510s, I feel your pain.

I have at the most about a 1/2mm space underneath every tank I put on my Innokin Coolfire IV mods. It's only visable if I'm holding the mod up at eye level and can see light from behind it showing through underneath the tank. Doesn't make a difference in the coil firing correctly at all, so I just don't worry about it myself.

When I got my CF IV I didn't know about that. As it's one of my "travel" mods, I usually paired it with a Triton mini, which does sit flush (I guess a short connector). When I mounted another tank on that had a gap, I freaked and thought I broke something. Now a mod guard and all is well.

To the OP, I figured it was mm, but I've learned to never assume as it's possible what I think is typo turns out to not be and my advice makes things worse than the original problem.
