I don’t know if I’m totally alone on this, but I figured I’d give it a shot. I’m really interested in some of the features of the P3, but I doubt if I will buy one unless somebody makes a tapered top cap to fit it. I use Protanks and don’t like the idea of putting one on a flat top mod. I contacted Joe at Cigtechs and asked if they were going to make a tapered cap. He wouldn’t rule it out, but said that after the P3 comes out they will decide if it makes sense.

If anyone else is interested in a tapered top cap for the P3, please contact Cigtechs and ask them to make one. I’d guess they will make one if they get a lot of requests.

I probably should just get a larger tank to fit the P3, but I probably won’t as long as I can get Protanks. Once I find something I like, I stick with it.

Interesting idea?.........If you have to stay with the Protank. For most people, there are plenty of good tanks that will look & work great on the P3's flat top. I personally like the Aspire Nautilus Tanks (original & mini...BVC). Assuming you are referring to Kanger Tech Protanks?.......I used to only use Kanger Protanks (PT2, PT3, Mini PT3). They make some nice stuff. But now my Kanger tanks sit in a box. The Aspire Nautilus Tanks are far superior IMO. The coils last me way longer and give better taste with the Nautilus BVC coils. Also hardly ever get a bad coil right out of a new package, unlike Kanger coils. I never thought another tank would retire my Protanks....so glad it did.

Regardless......a tapered top cap is a good idea. Versatility!!

Provape would be wise to make one of their own. I have three z atty pros (bought from provape) and I am out of the market for a P3 because it is not compatible with it.
I sit here and wonder how many others are in the same situation. All of whom... are probably Provape loyalist that would jump at the chance of owning a P3.
I am certainly not going to purchase a different RBA simply to fit a P3. That would be the case even if I only owned one z atty. Not replacing a $150 piece. Besides, I like the ease of recoiling it.
I also like to only purchase from 1 or 2 companies... getting this from here, there, and over here... not me. So if Provape doesn't come out with something like a tapered top cap, no P3 for me.

Here's your solution to use the Z Atty Pro on a P3...

Won't the ZAP work on a P3 with the beauty ring removed?

Pro Vape will be making their own tanks. That's what the flat top is for on the ProVari P3. The brand new thread size in the flat top cap is called a P3 thread. I'm sure we will see some P3 thread tanks in the future from Pro Vape, with other manufactures following soon after. The P3 threading is much larger than the 510 threading so it seems like it would be much stronger. I'm interested to see what the future holds for the Vape World!

"Tanks" don't have threads. They slide onto a 510T atomizer, or slide over a cartridge/atomizer (cartomizer) or a rebuildable atomizer such as a Diver or Sophia.

Clearomizers have threads, as do rebuildable drip atomizers and rebuildable tank atomizers.

It seems recently some believe clearomizers won't suck so badly if you call them "tanks." ;) :p They probably even use "good" as an adverb.

Pre P3: Most folks wished for a flat top cap for the 2.5-earlier and used rings to compensate

Post P3: Folks now want a tapered top cap for the P3

 :p

Nah, most people here like the flat top cap. Apparently I'm one of the few that like the tapered top and smaller clearos.

I guess I'm going to put my ProClearomizer away and get my carto tanks out of the backup drawer, now that I know that clearomizers suck.;)

I am usually impressed with Provape and have just purchased 2 P3s. ONLY after I did some research and found that by taking the z atty pro and some vise grips I was able to take the skirt off. It will now sit on the p3, but not flush because the length on the 510 connection is long. This is fine for me because I only use the zap at home and don't really care about its appearance....but still, why can't they come out with an adapter that will take up some space on this 510 connection and make it sit flush? Easy and cheap to make...

I am not impressed with their handling us Z atty pro users, we are the forgotten. The zap was sold by them for a solid 2 years at $150 per pop and mysteriously disappears from their site when the p3 comes out. I suspect it is because they want to sell us new gear with the p3 threading. Why should we when we purchased a great product that nothing is wrong with? I throw caution in the wind for those interested about the p3 threading. What happens when 'the p4' comes out and you find that all your p3 gear won't fit because of an unwillingness on their part to make it so?

I love provape when it comes to everything else, but feel this was handled poorly. We are not talking about a product that was purchased elsewhere... it was their baby. To say it was made 'exclusively' for the Provari V2.5, unacceptable. An ego tank is designed for an ego connection. Thus, adapters are made to make ego tanks fit other things. What make the zap so different? Where is the logic?
