When I started vaping seriously about a month ago, I vaped 18mg/ml liquid all day and suffered from restlessness and vivid dreams at night. Now I buy my juice in both 18mg and 0mg versions and mix them in different proportions to yield different strengths. Here's my vape schedule, as it were:

1. First thing in the morning: 18mg.

2. During the workday: 12mg.

3. Evening: 6-9mg.

4. Just before bed: 6mg or less.

Anyone else do this?

Until recently I was vaping 18mg as well and if I vaped at my regular pace before bed I noticed that I didn't sleep as well. Since I purchased my VAMO V3 I started ordering juices at 12mg to try to combat that effect (also because I seem to get a similar TH with 12mg on the VAMO with an EVOD as I did with an 18mg on non-VW batteries with cartos).

I vape 12mg all day now, but with the variable wattage on my Vamo I do generally turn down the power slightly at nighttime. I get a slightly weaker TH but it also feels like I am lessening my nic intake a bit, and lately I've had a much easier time falling asleep.

Vaping a lower nic level at night would probably have the same effect, but changing liquids all day isn't really fun for me.

I'm the same way. 18mg early for as long as I feel like it. 12 after that. 6-9 after 9pm or so. I too dial down the volts or watts late also. Sometimes I go 12mg all the way to bedtime but just turn down the "volume". I can immediately fall asleep when I'm ready even as I'm exhaling my final vape.

Early on was an adjustment. I think everyone goes through it. Restless nights and weird sleep. I think it resolved in 2 weeks or so. No problems since.

Thanks for the replies! It's early days yet and I'm very happy with my G6 cig-alike, but I should look into a variable-voltage device somewhere down the line.

Bob: Not to change the subject, but I love the SG in your avatar pic! I'm a big fan of P-90s. I installed some recently on my old Fender Jagmaster and they kick ... on the humbuckers that were in there.

I have 2 vv's. My fave is the itaste 3.0. Packed with easy and important features. You can get one for as low as $32.99. I think this it's prob the best bang for the buck vv/vw on the market. Variable wattage is a really nice feature if you use different ohm heads. Just set it and forget it. Same vape from any head. I totally dig the semi-passthrough mini-usb charging port. I can vape while driving and it charges the whole time.

The SG is a total custom from my bro-in-law. He builds guitars as a hobby but may go pro some day. It's my pride and joy and I play it every day. It's a natural claro walnut finish. The pic makes it look worn but it's just the natural grain. He bought the piece from a lumberyard in the berkshires and cut the body from scratch. It has the P-90's though so good sg sound. Excellent sustain from the solid body.

Somewhere out there

That's very similar to what I'm doing.

18mg in morning and on the 20 minute drive to work. No vaping at work, except maybe a few puffs at lunchtime. 12mg on the drive home from work. Some 12mg and mostly 6mg in the evening. I keep a little 0 around for when I'm feeling over done.

It's not that hard to manage. I only keep one flavor of 18mg, menthol. I keep multiple flavors of 6 and 12 in various clearos that I switch off as the mood strikes me. One Vivi Nova filled with 0mg.

Too much nic in the evening will keep me from falling asleep, but once I do, I sleep very soundly.

I'll try not to sound INCREDIBLY stupid (this is only my 2nd day of vaping) but do you keep "multiple various clearos" filled and just screw them onto a battery when you want to try a different strength/flavor?

I got a kit with 4 CE4 eGo Clearomizers and was just thinking I'd use one until it "wore out" and then move on to the next. But you're saying I could fill all 4 with different E-Liquid and switch whenever I want???

I have 4 vivi nova mini clearos with different flavors for when I'm out. Usually just switch between 3 flavors throughout the day though. The fourth always ends up being an odd flavor I'm hoping to like someday...

At home I have a protank, vivi nova and an RDA that can switch flavors on it own. At home I just use a couple devices so I just pick one up that I feel like at that moment.

That's exactly what I do, and it's not a stupid question at all.

First thing in the morning, I vape 18mg in a clearo.

When I go out to work, I take several cartos filled with 12mg or sometimes 9mg juice.

For evening vaping, I have other clearos loaded with lower-nic juice.

The clearos I use (Halo mini-tanks) are inexpensive so I can afford to keep several on hand. They're also available in various colors so I can "color code" my juice and avoid mixups. I use blue for my nighttime vapes; it just seems to fit :)

Vapo Marx: You mention using "clearos" for morning and evening while taking "cartos" to work.

What are the differences between clearos and cartos?

As I mentioned I'm QUITE new at this. I'm amazed that--now going into my 2nd week--EVERY time I've felt the urge to inhale some smoke, blow out some smoke rings and get a hit of nicotine...I've reached for my e-cig rather than an analog cig from the pack sitting right next to it!!??!!
