I've been blasting my 510 for almost 2 months and today the passthrough finally died so I had to return to my old 801 passthrough - the taste is night and day but I know that when I get a new batt for my 510 pt I'll be jumping back on it for some reason. It's like I love the taste but the throat hit on the 510 satisfies me more than the smoother hit of the 801. Which is more important for you guys?

I'm going to say 75/25% favoring throat hit, with the caveat that if the juice tastes like crap, I'm not vaping it even if it has a monster throat hit. To be honest, flavor is a new thing for me when it comes to nicotine consumption. All analogs were just a variation on the same thing: the flavor of burning plant matter and paper. I smoked for the nicotine, and the throat hit always included that ever so slight rush of nic you feel. As long as the juice has that and doesn't taste of ...-filtered suck, it's just what I need.

Needs to be a good balance of the two for me: a consistent throat hit with good flavour, and the 'hit' should not come from power. If I use anything with higher power, it tastes burnt to me, whereas the hit from a good atty and liquid can be just as hard-hitting but without the burning.
I agree, although I'd say taste has to have the edge.

I still swap around a 510 for throat hit and an 801 for flavor. Probably always will. Pain to carry around both, but it works for me. I love a strong menthol for flavor and throat hit in the morning on my 510. Six months, no ciggies!!

Congrats on your 6mnths coming up to 4mnths for me what menthol do you use? i have only tried Ecopure and can hardly taste any menthol

I love Liquid Express Cool Rush. Has a little bit of a mint hit to it. They also sell the Flavoring that you can add to crummy menthol liquid.

I also have just recently bought Tasty Vapor's Menthol zero Nic liquids (Doublers they are called). Nice and strong taste. A nice large 4oz bottle was around $12 (I think...). TastyVapor.Webs.Com - DISCOUNT Liquids and Mixers - Home fixed up some of my crummy stuff just fine. He also sells nicotine e-liquids. Tell Geoff I said howdy if you order, ha. Nice guy, fast service.

You can get small amounts of Menthol crystals (just use one crystal) to add to a wimpy menthol. Works great. I bought mine on ebay, but the 4oz I bought will last 2 lifetimes. ha. Some of the DIY Suppliers on the forum have it in small amounts on their websites.

Both taste and throat hit are essential to me. So it's a 50/50 for me. I need both.

I quit analogs after 25 years of smoking menthols (mostly salem and kools). But after quitting for 18 months, I soooo totally missed my menthols and the throat hit. I dearly loved smoking and hated to give it up. Now, with vaping, I get to enjoy my menthols again AND be healthy! I have only ever tried totallywicked menthol but I have to say, I really can't tell the difference between TW menthol and a Newport! Now I would like to find a quality liquid at cheaper prices.

I have only e-smoked for a week so I am not looking forward to all the hassles everybody talks about with these ecigs. But for now, I am in 7th heaven again!!
