I am a new canadian vaper and just received my joye302 starter kit from happy vaper and 45ml of crystal liquid e-juice from electronic-cigz(tobaco, menthol and french vanilla). I have tried vaping from both the tobaco and menthol flavour but after filling up two different carts with each of them I found out they both tasted the same thing which is the smell of the e-juice itself. It does not taste bad but certainly not tobaco and even less menthol. When filling my carts all I do is I drop liquid until the cart is flooded, try to vape then fill the cart a little bit again. I even tried driping 2 drops of the liquid on the atty but it gave me the same taste and I am a little bit scared of breaking my batery by doing this.

I do have two attys, I have just tried the menthol in the second one and it does taste a little different but not really like menthol, it still taste a little like the e-liquid.
It is not clear what actually transpired here. You will not find a liquid that mimicks burning cigarettes. Tobacco flavour is more like what the tobacco would smell like I guess.
You should not cross dress flavours, without cleaning the atty first. Some stronger flavours will eventually overpower some more subtle flavours, but never really mask them. That is why I normally have about 6-8 on the go at any given time, because I can't vape the same flavour all day.
Wrt menthol, many have tried but from what I have read some are close and that is about it. A menthol atty should be kept for menthol only. Vaping anything on a previously vaped menthol atty will bring out the menthol for a looooooong time.
How evr you have 3 distinct flavours and they should all taste different. Teh vanilla should have a sweet smell and taste to it.
Regardless, the menthol should bring out a certain coolness, that the other two do not provide.
Vaping is as close to "smoking" as one can get. What you think something should taste like, is not quite what you would think.
The other problem for a neophyte, is that you have an 801/302 atty. This is an atty that burns relatively cool in comparison with the 510. I know I have them. I am only starting to learn how to appreciate them. In all honesty, I don't think I ever will.
Some prefer the 302 as it provides a "wetter" tasting vapour. To me the 302 does not bring out the taste in vapour in comparison with my 510, and although thy produce good vapour, they pretty much make everything taste the same. I know you don't understand the last part of that sentence.
In order to get some taste out of your set up, gently exhale the smoke out of your nose, rolling it, like if you were smoking a cigar. 90% of the taste imparted to the brain coems from the offactory senses, and not the tongue.
Menthol should be a "coolness" across the tongue and not like peppermint or spearmint,l a certain freshness that is not sweet.
... and last but not least, do not drip with auto batteries. The 801/302 is intended to be vaped at 2 x 3-4 second mouth suck, with a couple minute intervals in between. As soon as the atty gets hot, it quits performing like it should, although the 801/302 vape relatively cool compared to the 510.
