I have a X2 1300 battery and a bunch of samples (liquid) both here and on the way. What is the best method for testing liquid? I was told to take the cotton out of a cartomiser and just drip drops down, worked ok a couple times, but then liquid just poured out the bottom. Is there anything offered designed for the small amount testing of liquids with the X2?

If the carto is leaking, that's usually because you put too much juice in, doing it that way use 2 drops max. That said, it doesn't work well for me either. There's still the tiniest bit of filler stuck in the bottom that holds flavors, so I can never get a good sample. For now I've just been using my Nanos, filling them about halfway with samples then rotating them after, but it's a lot of work. I would love to have a proper drip atty, but I haven't seen any that are 808

I don't think I understand what a drip atty is. I just put some in a CE3 or Nano and vape. I have only had one unvapable flavor and fortunately that was a prefilled carto. I threw it away. Even if it isn't my favorite, I manage to vape it because, darn it, I paid for it and I am using it.

I want a drip atty so I can try new flavors with less work. I have 12 new juices coming in the mail, that'll turn into a lot of cleaning in between to try all of them

I guess that is what I was hoping to have someone tell me about

The only thing that might work is an 808 to 510 adapter to use a 510 atty. Other than that, using old cartos without filler or putting a little in clearos is the best we can do

A CE3 works very nice as a drip tester, see the following... post #134 http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/smokeless-image/333460-ce3s-again-14.html#post7525828
You would not have to cut the outer tube, that was a test on my part. Drip 2-3 drops max down the side of the tube, and vape until vapor production falls off, around 6-10 puffs (depending on length of draw, e-liquid, etc.) You can also tell when to add by looking at the side of the tube at the wicks and if they look wet on the end where it touches the tube it should still have a vape in it. Of course with the center air tube out you can also see the wick and coil and be able to tell if it ready for another couple of drops.
Good luck! I love mine!! :vapor:

I remember reading that thread before, I'm gonna try that if I get any CE3's. I was also thinking about trying with a Nano after I get a few more, I have one that doesn't seal very well that would be a good test case

I tried it with the center air tube in place and it did seem to increase the vapor some, but I still like being able to see the coil/wick and it makes it the easiest to rinse out for the next flavor. YMMV
After all, your just testing for flavor. I have already mixed just PG/VG and know what ratio I like so if vapor is lacking a little in the tester, to me it's no biggie! ;)
You will want to drip down the inside wall of the clear outer tube. Also, when testing, I don't use my nic, I just use unflavored PG/VG so I'm not wasting expensive nic. I did make full juice in the beginning and vaped most of what I made, good or bad, but it's just easier to not add nic into the equation until I get close to the flavor I want. :2c:

I don't think a Nano can be "cut down" to make a drip device in the way a CE3 can because of the way it's built. I think you can also remove the filler from a regular carto, per MrOutlaws video, then cut that down so you can see the bottom, wicks, but still have enough room to use a drip tip or regular carto tip so it stays comfortable. I've been using a carto with no filler and will take the time to cut it down today. I'll let you know how it goes.

I haven't looked at the Nano too closely yet in terms of cutting it down, but I kinda had a feeling it wouldn't work so well. Just figured it would be worth a try since I have Nanos but I don't have CE3's. Using an old carto hasn't worked too well for me.

Look for a 901 attomizer. They will fit 808 threads. Good way to test juices.

Really? I'm buying one of those immediately. I had no idea a 901 would fit

I will keep that in mind, but I have a couple CE3s that will be great candidates to experiment with to cut down, and I have a large supply of the black prefilled cartos from a couple sample packs I had bought. If I can't do what I want satisfactorily (is that a word?) I will look into a 901 atomizer.

Well, the cut down worked out quite well, I'm vaping it on a 78mm manual right now. If you've got a Dremel it'll be much easier to do than using a hacksaw and files. I used a Dremel and cut the carto down to 11/16" overall length using a cutoff wheel. I used a grinding stone to "even" out the cut and take the burrs off the outside. I used a milling tip to clean up the burrs on the inside. I pulled the inner air tube and am using the little drip style tip that comes with a CE3. I flushed it out, thoroughly, to get the metal flakes out, dry burned a little, and it works like a champ. Two drops at a time work great! Total time, under ten minutes.
