With a DNA200 and Escribe yes (that is part of the reason for Escribe and its build in monitoring tools). You can vape in TC mode, observe the wattage used or the puff counter from fully charged to fully drained, then do the same in power only mode with a kanthal build and compare. You could also measure the juice consumed for each of those setups.

In my experience, I got better battery runtime w/my VTC Mini using VW than I do using TC (on the order of 5-7 minutes longer per battery). But there are variables/differences like the resistance of the builds (lower ohms in TC), the wattage ceiling used in TC as opposed to what I used in VW (higher ceiling in TC). Now, using a smok Treebox, I get horrible battery life in TC. Even set to "Soft", it gives me right at one half the time that I get w/my VTC Mini using same atty and build! Basically little to no difference in juice used over the course of the day using either mod.

Coil and wick life is a LOT better in TC. As is overall "vape experience". In TC, no worry about a dry hit- no matter how long of a draw is taken.
