attempt number 1 after viewing the video...fail.

i have cheap tea bags though, i tried a couple different rolls, tight and loose, but it isn't wicking my Prodigy. sure, different type of device, but should wick right?? i won't blame the method yet and say that it doesn't work, for now i blame the tea bags. i'll be buying the Pyramid ones to try soon and see if i can get better results.

Bigbog... did you use regular tea bags or the pyramid?

Cayman, I used the Pyramids. I have 1 cart with 2 rolled bags and 1 with 3 rolled bags, did not fold either. In the 510 cart, it leaves some passages on the edges that act very similar to the stirrer mod some people have done. Both can be topped off very easily as the air does not become trapped.

The only drawback is that I go through more juice than with the wad of poly that came with the cart. I do get some tremendous hits at first and then get lighter and lighter.

I had to rinse the the 2 layer bag after 1 day of use. I'm using the 3 layer bag today. I did notice that the 2 layer bag took a lot more liquid to fill than the 3 layer bag.

VERY Awesome Bigbob! I can't wait to try 2! Love the pic!

On a personal note the draw is light (dare I say almost non-existent), with great clouds of consistent vapor in the last 2 days use with only the original 1/2 Pyramid bag.

I've never have had a better vaping experience!

Thanks Stehle, did you fold yours after rolling it up? And which model VP are you using it on?

Yes I folded it after rolling. I have it on a 510 (Titan).

Later today I will put one on one of my 084 (DSE084, 8084)

Worlds smallest e-cig, but what a wallop! (Most realistic too!) That has a cart to match.

My favorite model, to see if the Pyramid increases the 084's cart capacity some. :thumb: (A little I hope!)

Ya know, I honestly don't know when these Pyramids will wear out. My last cartfill has lasted me a week so far and I see no degradation of the filler. I take it out with tweezers and rinse under hot water every 2 days to clear out the old sticky liquid. Pat it dry, re-insert, fill 'er up and vape on.

I use half a Pyramid teabag, carpet rolled kinda tight and folded to get 2 rolls facing up towards the atty. Gonna try 1 roll like BigBob tonight. I'll let you know what happens...

Filled with a little over 1/4 of a Pyramid tea bag and and about 9 -10 drops of nic-juice. (Perhaps a bit more liquid capacity and cart did last longer.) :thumb:

Smoother, lighter draw, great vapor, no leaks and wicked well.
(I started coughing on first draw though.. too much!) :thumb:

I am so glad to see that my teabag idea has been improved upon with the nylon teabags..I can see that without having any loose fibres there isn't much danger of any polyster being burn't on the coil so I shall have to try the lipton tea bags myself.

You're right pete, you were the original "tea bag" guy. I just stole your idea and used a different type of tea bag :p

Dude, the nylon tea bags work the best, out of anything I've tried. A hot water rinse every few days and they last forever it seems.

Also, didn't you used to have an avatar with a monkey in it?

Where do you buy them? with tea in them or without?

Bought Lipton tea with the pyramid teabags, filled with tea at the local grocery, in the coffee and tea aisle. The bags can be torn open at the seams. The seams are ultrasonically welded, so no glue. The tea ain't bad either.;)

yes, i'm very much for video learning. i tried and failed with the teabags before, but looks like iiimathman24iii did a good job...so now i gotta go try again ;)

one thing...i counted like 17 drops when he filled his 510 cart. really? that's almost 1ml. how much are they supposed to hold? well, i say 1ml, as in, 20 drops is about 1ml, but that's not exact measurement, just rough estimate.

so yes, someone please post a vid of the pyramid bags or some pics? i can foresee myself ruining every bag in the package trying to figure it out ;)

and also...i did some googling on the pyramid bags, and found info that they are made from PET according to Lipton? same plastic as water bottles?

has someone done all their homework and verified this is in fact what they think it is? not sure i'd want to heat up plastic and inhale it. not being paranoid, just wanting info :)

I found that too. It's made from recycled plastic, PET. Not sure I would use it imo.

i still fail. how high up are your fillers? right at the edge of the cart or lower? are you rolling and cutting the Pyramid bags or what? i've got 19 more bags to play with....heh.

Flitzanu, in order for wicking to occur, there has to be contact with the atomizer bridge. But since the Pyramid nylon is quite stiff, it will not conform as the poly fill will do, so it does have to be cut to the right length. I only have teabagged the 510, so I don't know how far the bridge sticks into the cart of other models. I took some measurements and did the math. works fine for me. You could probably eyeball it, by seeing how far the poly has been pushed in by your atomizer.

I had a pic of mine earlier in this thread...
