I also wondered if the the issue was the top cap not connecting well enough to the body to complete the circuit. If that were the case, what would the lights do?

Red until you press button, then blue while pressed

Top cap not grounding to the main tube is an open circuit when the button is pushed. That is an ok state as far as the regulator is concerned, so the red goes out and the blue is lit.

Does anybody know a fix for the color bits falling off the dial?

I just use craft paint and a toothpick to touch them up.

It'll wear off, but it's cheap and easy...and I can put my marks on whatever voltage I want to highlight

Some folks use fingernail polish but I find the toothpick easier to not get it too thick.

One more thing. I'm not making a connection with all of my attys. It seems to have gotten worse after switching the screw so I'm not sure if the screw is a slightly diferent siz or if I lost a gasket somewhere so the screw sits lower. What do you recommend to raise the screw up a bit?

Tiny washer immediately under the screw. Use a plastic one if it might touch the connector edge, or metal is okay if it doesn't.

Just checking in to see what the normal turnaround time is for RMA repairs. I sent in my BP and I believe it arrived at NotCigs last Monday. I haven't heard if you guys need anything else from me or if it's been fixed and shipped back out. I sure miss my Buzz...

Buckerbie, the turn around time has been a little slower the last couple of weeks with Mike's employees also having to build orders for his fiber optics business. You will get a shipping notice when it's fixed and headed home to you. The normal turn around is a day or 2, but the are a few days behind right now

Are fiber washers ok? They were the only ones I could find that would fit but I don't know how well they will hold up under heat from operating the unit and the corrosive effects of e-juice.

I got my slotted screws today so I replaced the screws in both of my BPs a little while ago. Working great with an adapter and my Fusions. I haven't tried a Boge yet to check airflow and connection.

Home Depot only had those fiber washer. I haven't stepped foot in my local Lowes since a certain incident and I have no desire to go back. Where else is there to look?

For me they are but I have 2 that are very close to me. I find that they have more specialty sizes. Another idea might even be an auto parts store. If nothing else, we can ask Terri to toss a couple in the mail to you.

The problem is getting to these places -- not something I want to do during rush hour (DC traffic is horrible).

I'm soaking the fiber washer in juice to see what happens. As far as the concern with the heat, if there is some kind of bonding agent or coating on the fiber washers (they are hard), I'm worried heat could turn it into vapor.
