Hmm, any chance you are missing the insulator washer? There should be a tiny black washer right under the top screw.

battery in, the red light should be visible through the hole where the wheel is.

Nothing attached to the connector, push the fire button, it should turn blue. If not, likely a short.

With batteries in, nothing attached, you should definitely be seeing the red LED, that's just power indication. With nothing on the connector, button pressed, blue only should be on, which means you have a happy regulator trying to output power and no short.

No light without something attached is a ? to me. Maybe everyone's favorite, grounding? Back in Buzz and Bov's area.

Yeah I've been wondering about the no light myself. Thanks for your ideas though it's appreciated :)

Ok try a couple more things real quick Raster. First, make sure the batts are in nipple up towards the top cap. (I know, sounds like common sense but you'd be surprised) Remove the bottom cap and clean the threads, and the threads on the inside of the tube bottom.
Check and if needed, tighten the bottom cap screw. Is the spring making good contact when you have the batts in and the bottom cap on?
Make sure the screw above the voltage dial is tight...DO NOT remove it, but screw it back and forth a quarter turn or so.

Hoping this is a ground issue and not Tracy's fried PCB!

Well probably doesn't have anything to do with the ground screw. There is a nut on the inside of it, which is why you don't want to take it all the way out. Ok, fill out, print and send it in with the RMA form...I'm sorry Raster :( RMA form

Mark, thank you for all your great advice!

Thanks Bovinia, I'll send it out tomorrow.

I didn't think too much of the light not coming on when I first put the batteries in since it came on when I put the carto on, but it was in the back of my mind that something might be a bit off.

On a positive note I still get to look forward to my first time using a buzz pro so I guess that works lol.

Good Morning All,

'fraid I have another problem like Raster...my brand new green BP seems to be dead out of the box. I have freshly charged batts off the charger at 4.17, and the first indication is no red light..nothing. Have tried quarter turn on ground screw..nope...

one thing that seems weird to me, but since this is my first Buzz, I have no idea if this is normal...the top battery is next to impossible to get out of there. I have to bang pretty hard, once to the point of dislodging the plastic liner thing.

Of course, I'm not getting any other lights either, since all lights flow from at least having power..lol.

unless I'm doing something really stupid..which is possible...I may need to RMA this baby.

Doesn't and shouldn't stick at all lala. Both slide right in and out with ease. You have a great attitude! This should be resloved for you speedy quick!

well, I've had my own business(s) in one form or another for 30 years or so..all very small, not any huge money machines..lol..and I always preach to anyone who is willing to listen to not be one of those AWA's (a**holes with an attitude) who make a small business owner lose sleep at night. It only takes one or two to accomplish this and I speak from personal experience. One of the things I love about the vaping world is that the corporatocracy hasn't taken over yet. Mostly, we deal with small operations that are only trying to do the right thing. i think the least we can do as consumers is to show a little understanding and keep it light..life is way too short to be all huffy and in your face about something as minor as my FREAKIN' BUZZ IS DEAD!!!..lol, just kidding!

Lala, I just answered your support ticket but I will ask you here as well. Is this a BP ECF edition with the lightning bolt venting slots? Did you try taking the mylar sheet out of the tube if it is? No, your batts should not be sticking, but I'm wondering if the mylar got smushed up in there too high.

Just a place to start with my thinking cap LOL
