I'm sorry Keekers, been running like a chicken with my head cut off today! I have no idea what that is, but it doesn't look right to me. Looking at the top pic, it looks like there may be a nick in the covering on your black ground wire, right under where it bends. Might want to RMA it for a fix :( RMA form

Thanks Charlie! This is my mother in law's house and I think the wiring was done by Moses! No breakers blown but the electrician replaced the box for the light. Someone had wired the old porcelain light fixture to a wall outlet box

Got a ipro a few months ago it is now not firing. Red light is on and when i push the button it just dims...no blue led. Took off top cap and made sure everything was connected. Top cap screw i tried it loose and tight still not firing just red light dimming. Am using a 901 to 510 adapter have 2 both dont work tried different cartos/clearomizers and a 901 atty and a different set of batteries all just dim the red light. Also have a regular infinity which broke after the button got pushed in. unhappy

Door, check to see if you have any gunk buildup on the battery terminals or the bottom cap to tube connection. That shouldn't be the problem, just good practice. You can also clean the positive terminal, gently, with a pencil eraser, if you see any junk on it (shine a light down the tube).

If you unscrew the top cap, pull it away (not touching the tube), do you still just get the red light on, or does it turn blue when you press the fire button?

Kellie, this is the same problem you have been having with your purple BP isn't it? I know we talked abut this before...did you try rolling the dial back and forth several times? (I think we already went thru that and it didn't help)

Door, also check that the screw in your bottom cap is tight and the spring is still pushing the batts up to make proper contact. Do you have a meter to test your batts? I'm sorry you aren't happy...why didn't you let us know when you Infinity button broke? We could have fixed it!

Kellie is it out of the 6 month warranty?

Yeah I'm pretty sure it is. My OB is going strong :) Go figure put in a set of batteries that I haven't used in awhile and now it's working fine :) Think I might need some new batteries (duh). Still using the ones I got with my OB Oo

Speaking of warranties............My 1st Buzz is well off warranty, and I will be sending it in to get it back to optimum health. As I mentioned in previous posts, it is not performing up to par with my other Buzz. I expect and want to pay for time spent in looking it over and any repairs if necessary. At the very least, there will be shipping. My question is, do I put my credit card number on my repair form, or will I be notified in some way on what is owed. Anyway, when that Buzz is back, I plan to order a 3rd Buzz this summer. :)

Monster, answer these questions for me so we can try to narrow the possibilities :)

1. Batteries charged ?? ( use a voltmeter if you have one , they should read 4.2 volts each )
2. Take off the atty /carto first
3. Do you have a RED LED light ?
4. DO you have a Blue Led light when the button is pushed.
5. DO you have a Blue led with the ATTY/CARTO ON the unit ?
6. Do you have BOTH red and Blue led lights ?
7. Do you get a blue led with the atty/carto ON but no vapor ?

hi, and thanks for helping me. here are the answers;

1) batteries were charged. tried a new pair, still didn't work. both pairs of batteries work on my other buzz.

2) what do you mean take off the atty first? first before what? don't understand this one, sorry.

3) yes the LED light is red, inside the tube.

4) no blue LED light when button is pushed. never did have that. however, my old buzz (the one that's working) has that.

5) no blue LED at all. LED has always been red only.

6) only red LED light.

7) the atty does not heat at all. tried a new atty and new batteries. the old and new atty, plus the old and new batteries all work on my old buzz. power is no longer going to the atty on this most recent buzz.

thanks again for taking the time to help me out. i appreciate it. hate to have to send it in.

Hey guys long time no see. My work schedule has been sucking and I just don't seem to have any energy left for anything.

On the I pro, is there supposed to be a screw in the hole on the side of the top cap that holds it on? I just tried to unscrew a carto and took the top cap off instead. It seems strange that this has never happened before, unless I have lost a screw.

I don't believe there's a screw, at least there isn't on VVPV, which uses an IPro top cap too. The hole lets you use a paperclip or small nail to help start unscrewing the cap.

Not sure what you could use to tighten it up just slightly. Loctite is not good, too tight a bond. Maybe just a fractional piece of teflon tape? (See what Buzz or Bov say. I may try a small bit of the teflon tape at home tonight, take pictures, since my BP top cap is just slightly loose).

Monster, sounds like your blue led was bad right from the start. Check your bottom cap and make sure the threads are clean, both on the cap and the tube.
Shine a light up inside and you'll see a little brass contact on the underside of the PCB, clean it with a pencil eraser.
You should also see a screw on the outside upper part of the tube, make sure it is tight. Also the screw in the bottom cap. Let me know if any of this helps.

Tide, try a damp washcloth so you can get a good grip on the cap to tighten it. There is not a screw in that hole, it's used for leverage like Mark said. So if you can use a small screwdriver in that hole to help loosen it, you can do the reverse to help tighten it :)
