hi bovinia; i tried all of your suggestions and it still doesn't work. anything else i could try? i have had to tighten the screw on the bottom cap before, so i had checked that right away. the screw on the side was fine and i cleaned up inside with an eraser the best i could. thanks for your help.

Usually if none of the things that you tried don't fix it, it's something that we need to look at. Be sure to mention that your blue led never worked even when your BP did...along with the current problems.

I got my ipro in the mail yesterday. The dial looks as though it may be shifted and is hard to turn. I think it is the problem from post 228. That is what it looks like. Could someone post a picture of the inside pointing out the pin?

I don't know if I can get a pic that detailed YoMa...first try turning the dial back a forth several times and see if it loosens up any.
I just tried that. The color indicators are in different places during rotation now. The green area is as far down as it will turn and it goes so far past red that you can no longer see it. I did not push it hard.

No problem Yo, here's a pic (albeit a crappy one!) I am holding my BP with the dial facing me. Read the sticky on "Replacing the top cap" to be familiar with how to remove the cap...gently. Your IPro will have a little hole on the side of the top cap so you can put a small screw driver or similar in there for leverage to get the cap started unscrewing. Look on the inside and you should see the dial. In this pic I tried to draw a black arrow pointing to the pin. Right under the nut on the inside of the ground screw.

Yes if you aren't careful. Make sure you are steady on the pin and tap it gently! Someone to help you hold your IPro steady might be a good idea

Worst case, you have to send it in for repair...and if you couldn't fix it yourself you'd still have to send it in
hi bovinia; i tried to print out the rma form from the notcigs website. when i right-click it on, i am taken to a site called 'scribd', the rma form is displayed and next to it is the tab asking me to download or print. when i click this on another screen pops up asking me to pay a subscription fee. i had to sign up, which i did, but i'm not sure why it is asking me to pay money. what am i doing wrong?
It's a scribd thing. I ended up posting a jpeg of the form on my own site, since scribd is blocked from some places.

It'll stay on my site. I take it that it is inconvenient to host on the main notcigs server because it is commerce oriented (not worth the time to set up local file links)
This is the first time I've heard of a problem with the form. Wonder if Mike changed something on his site? Anyway, thanks again Mark. If I have anyone who has trouble, I'll know to send them your link
Scribd, where mike stores it, can do weird things. For instance at work it is flat out blocked, and I've had it do odd things when we used it a year ago on another forum. (I've run across the requests to create accounts and make payments at scribd before)
It is generally cleaner to store the file right on the notcigs server, use a local link, since it is notcigs-specific.

Actually the instructions are a little confusing on the Notcigs site. You just right click the image itself and save it to your computer, but the text line that tells you to right click and save is also a link to the Scribd stored jpg.
The several times i've played with the rma have always seemed to get me to scribd, that is why I related to the comment.
