Telemarketing from Smoking Everywhere

I just got a call from someone from Smoking Everywhere. It sounded like it was coming from a call center - there was some background noise. He asked me if I needed any more cartridges, as he had several deals on them. He also asked if I was interested in any accessories, like carrying cases or car chargers). I answered no thanks on both instances.

I bought an ecig from an SE kiosk in New York 3 months ago and placed an online order with them 2 months ago.

I was just wondering if anyone else has had a call from SE, or any company, asking if they'd like to buy more stuff (as if we needed any more incentive).

At least it wasn't some third-party company trying to sell me stuff, I can be thankful for that. At least SE does its own telemarketing.

What's up with that!? I guess they know you're generally interested in the products, so it's a good way to build the business. But come on...

@ Jim Davis - LOL!!! That is a good idea. Obviously they already had his CC info, so don't think this would've worked in that situation. But I'm going to use that!

When any telemarketer calls, I say YES I'm interested. Wait till I get my credit card. Then I put them on hold, and go about my business.
OMG! I thought I was the only one to do this! LMAO!
I also lead them on with questions and questions, as if I'm so interested. Conversation can forever. Then, they usually transfer me to another person, usually the closer...then I have them explain it to my wife. She's a good sport, and she does the same to the closer, then the closer has to transfer her back to the sales rep, then after she repeats what I did, they transfer her to the closer....then she says, hold on, let me get my husband and then the hold starts from there.

For telemarketing calls I used to say 'you need to speak with the lady of the house' then I put my daughter, who was three at the time on the phone. Very entertaining. She kept one of them on the phone for 15 minutes. Hey if they're gonna bug me I'm gonna waste their time.;)

I don't get sales calls any more, but now my daughter is grown up, so I'd have to put my 2 year old grand daughter (her daughter) on the line.

Never thought to put them on hold....but then 20 years ago there wasn't that option.
after my first 'no' - 'no thank you' - when they move into the questions of why and attempt to convince me...
I set the phone down and walk away
eventually (2, 3, 5, 7 minutes later) I can hear
'hello?' 'hello?' 'are you still there?'

Figure I said no and they wanted to keep talking
might as well let them:cool:
