Got my first E2's in today, and I couldn't be MORE DISAPPOINTED !!

They taste like crap. Like some kinda toxic chemical burning.

Got them from COV, they were listed as an un-boxed item, but when they came they are in the box and in the foil strip that you have to pop them out of.
The don't have condoms though and I though they should ??

Production Date .... PRD:21100816 (8/16/10)

I have tried two of them with two different juices.
The first I waited about 10 min after filling (.5 ml each hole) for it to wick.
The second I waited 30 min and moved it from upright to side to upside down.

I seems to me they are not getting good juice or they would taste better.
But looking in them with the rings out they seem wet, and produce a nice amount of vapor.

WTF, I was really hoping these would work out for me, but If I don't get any ideas on what might be wrong there is no sense even trying the other 3 :(

Any E2 experts out there ??

I rinse all of mine out and do a dry burn before filling otherwise I get a rather yucky taste. Unfortunately all the production date really seems to mean is what day the sticker got placed on the box...they seem to only do that once/month as I've got boxes with 7/16, 8/16, 9/16 so far... I've also found that they seem to work better from the 5th fill to about the 25th fill....

If I was you I would rinse them all out, shake out as much water as you can. Then either dry burn them until nothing else vaporizes off them and fill them, the taste should improve. You may also be getting an off taste if they aren't wicking fast enough, you can tell if this is the case by tilting the battery end up. If that helps with the taste, they you probably need to add some pyramid tea bag material to help with the wicking.

Oh god, I don't know what I am vaping, but its made me sick.

I don't know either.
One day someone said it was like hairspray.
Does it taste like hairspray, or like a nail salon?
Like a dry wick, or like green stuff on the wick?
etc

When you dry burn the new ones, I'm not sure that you have to rinse them. I think the idea is to simply just dry burn them a few seconds.

I guess I should take the time to update this thread too.
As far as the REALLY REALLY bad taste, not sure what it was. I am pretty sure I got an older batch.

My problems are solved and I am convinced that the E2s are going to be my daily cartos.

I soaked 10 min in vodka
Rinsed
Steam cleaned same as I do with my attys.
Compressed air for a quick dry.
Dry burn till I see full red hot wires.

They taste great, hit ultra smooth, and are wicking fine for me. Filling them is a piece of cake with a syringe and blunt tip needle. I will be ordering more (a lot more) of these. I will also do the soak, rinse, steam, dry, and dry burn before I put them in my rotation.

I have spent some time learning about these, and they do work better if you cut the wick and use pyramid tea bag "tails".
If you want to use them as is out of the box, I believe they will work for most everyone. You just need to slow down a bit and don't chain vape 15 hits back to back. Filling for me is a non issue, I can fill one in less than 2 min easy.

I think everyone should try an E2 at least once, so you can see how good vaping can really be.
I am still using four out of my first five. I dissected one to help me learn whats going on inside them.
I haven't dripped in two days :) The E2/v4 is amazing IMO!
