I was looking at the VAMO, but decided to go for it and get a ProVari mini. I apparently spaced and forgot the ProVari isn't variable wattage. I've been intrigued by the "set it and forget it" aspect of VW, but I honestly don't need it. I'm not exactly having buyer's remorse, but I want some reassurance that I'm (most likely) going to fall in love. Looking at my gear, it's obvious that VW isn't necessary, except for my LR306 dripping atty and one of the vivi mini nova heads that came with box, everything I have is 1.7-2.0 ohms. It's just that I had done so much research on the VAMO. Can someone hold my hand?

Satin silver w/ blue led. Except for shipping, I didn't see a price break for the extension cap, so I'm putting it off for now. I got one of the blems, which put it (almost) in my price range. From what I've read, most of the blems are barely noticeable and I'll probably bang up it anyway.

I have never figured out what the blem on mine is. I did find a blem on my new extension cap that I paid full retail for though. Go figure. I have been ignoring my ProVari in favor of my REO because bottom feeding into a dripping atty is the best, and the Vamo due to the buttons and VW. Yesterday I picked up the ProVari and was impressed with the vape, and DH likes it much better than the eGo. DH doesn't have to set it up though, he just hands it to me and says "fix it!" so he gets the Vamo much more often

I used the VW mode on my vamos for about a week, I have all 3 in VV mode. I don't mind adjusting the voltage, its mostly to taste any way. I just got my v2 mini today and I like it. One draw back is my clearos won't fit with out an adapter but I don't have to use them on it anyway. I like the fact that the provari isn't a disposable device once the warranty runs out you can always send it in for repairs if it ever even breaks. I could always tell when my battery was getting low on the vamo because around 3.4v on the battery it couldn't give me my 5v on a 2.6 ohm rba-t. You can get a vamo much cheaper than a provari its always good to have back ups. Enjoy your new toy.

IHO you made the correct buy. I took the plunge early on with the thought of preventing buying 10 different mediocre APV's and then still ending up with a Provari. I just decided to skip the last 7 mediocre APV's and go straight to the Provari and I am very glad I did. It is hard to really appreciate until you own it and have used it for a little bit. It is very well built and does a great job at what it is designed to do (output a set voltage accurately and consistently with little variation). A lot of other APV's just fall short in being able to perform the one task than in IMO is most important
