So like a lot of people here I got into this whole scene by ordering a V2 kit. While I've been content for the most part (and 100% analog free for 7 days!), after finding this place I have the itch to upgrade. While all the info available here has been a bit overwhelming at times, I think i've been able to figure things out enough and have set my sites on on the eGo-C and also some LR Cartos to go with it. Figured this is a solid jumping off point that will allow for many options to customize moving forward.

Here is some info about me... my home versus out and about vaping will be about 50/50. I don't really see dripping as a major need of mine. Not really a big tinkerer, much prefer little to no fuss.

So do you think this is a good upgrade for me? Tell me why not.... or better yet tell me what I should consider instead.

Thanks!

I personally started with an ego-t. Great little vape. I felt I wasn't getting enough vapor. The 3.7 volts it offered, left me wanting more. The wicks in the atty's can be a pain too. Maybe they fixed it with the ego-c. But I'd get lots of new atties that tasted burnt. I decided if I was gonna stay off smokes, I'd do it right. I got a Stainless Steel Golden Greek Telescopic Storm, and I'm in love! There is nothing like 6 volt vaping. The SS GGTS is expensive, but well worth it. Rather than messing around, I thought it easier to go straight for the best, and I am so happy I did.

If you're already desided on the eGo style PV than THIS might be a better choice. One of the big problems it seems with any of the atty/tank systems is that they leak and mute the flavor. The idea of cartomizers is a very good one.

Another option may be a carto tank for whichever battery that you end up buying.

The ego batteries are okay but the ego tank system consistently underperforms, imho (both ego-t and ego-c). Flavor is subpar and you get way too much "dry hits" because of the system not wicking fast enough.
A couple of batteries + cartos are the best setup if you don't want to get into mods right now.
Also, be sure to check out the mega dual coil cartos designed specifically for the ego battery, they are great. They also carry more than enough juice if you're on the road :)

You can't go wrong with a REO Grand. Don't know much about the eGo-c :)

Not a big fan of the box mods. Maybe when I'm able to have a dedicated home device I will consider them, but for now with 50% of my vaping being outside my home I'd prefer something closer to the "classic" e-cig form.

Maybe also worth mentioning... I live in NYC so which means my main mode of transportation is walking. I'd like something that lends itself to being stored in my jeans or coat pocket.

Yeah, I had read about the leak problems with the eGo-T, but I thought I had read that problem was mostly resolved with the C. Is that incorrect?

I would not buy it because it uses an atomizer that isn't sold at a lot of places. Also, those tank systems seem to get more negative reviews than positives. I've never used one so I can't say one way or the other. I would say for less money you could get the KGo KGO 1100 mAh 2 battery kit

With the Kgo you'll have no problem getting any attys, Dual Coil Cartos, LR Cartos and DCC Tanks. The batteries come off the charger at over 4 volts and never get below 3.7 volts. The batts are 1100mAh, so it should last you all day.

The KGo and some Mega LR Cartomizers and you'd be set for awhile. Crystal Clear Vaping

After using the eGO-C for two days now here are my observations:

Better than my Halo G6 e-cig. Makes more vapor, but the taste and TH seem to be less.

Cold vape.... the vape is very cold, and I find it drys my mouth out more than my G6'es or my Buzz VV mod.

Slight tank leakage... I found after I vaped through 2 tanks I had a little bit of juice in the cone. No biggie and could have been when I changed tanks a little sloshed out.

DOES NOT do thick VG juice well at all. Seemed ok with a 70/30 mix. Would still like to try some 50/50. Even with 70/30 I found I needed to pull for a second after I released the button to prime the wick for my next toot. Keep in mind I am a VERY heavy "puller", I tend to pull hard and for 7 or 8 seconds at a time.

A big advantage as its very easy to switch jucies on the fly. Remove the tank you are using and put on rubber bung, take 3 or 4 good toots from the dry atty (any more than that you may get the nasty dry hit), then put on your new tank....good to go. I REALLY like this as I dont like to do the same juice all day.

Overall...the eGO-C will be my "on the go" PV if I need something light to slip in my pocket. But my favorite is my Buzz Pro VV.

Anywho..thats my 2 cents.

I was looking around the forums and such to make a decision alot like your own. I ended up ordering the Ego-C. I played around on a Ego-T that a buddy of mine had, and it was pretty good for what i wanted. After getting my Ego-C, charger her up, putting the juice in and all that?.....I seriously couldn't be happier.

My buddy with the Ego-T is jelious. He -SWEARS- it has more flavor and vapor. They did infact fix the leaking issues by doing a couple of different things. For starters, My kit came with 5 tanks, but over 15 Replacable softcaps(the part that is punctured by the atty head) So that if you even get remotely close to thinking it may start leaking, you simply slam a new cappiece on it, which is -MUCH- thicker and sturdier than the thin hard plastic pieces used on the Ego-T my friend has. I got both the standard, and LR Atty heads for mine, and the LR is used alot with my other juices that taste better at higher temps. This really was the answer to everything i wanted. I seriously can't believe how long the batteries last, and a full tank lasts me hours.

Now, I dunno if i was the only one, but when i was looking around, i really wanted to look into an ego, but all the images and videos just made it look so big and bulky. When i first saw my friend's ego, i couldn't believe how small it actually is. My ego from top, to tip of the tank, is the length of my middle finger tip, to the center of my palm. It's AALLOOTT smaller than they look online, while still having beautifully long battery life. I'm happy with mine. The easily replaced atty heads with the option of LR allows me to enjoy everything i have. I haven't had a single leak, or dry hit.

Now there are some things important to note here. I did upgrade from a Blucig's kit. This is like going from a lawnmower, to a mercedes to drive around the city. It's night and day. Completely different experiences all together. Also, I use my PV, as far as drags, alot like how i smoked cigarettes. I take a 4-6 second drag, enhale, enjoy, exhale. The end. I'll repeat this a few times over a couple of minutes, then leave it alone until i want more. I almost feint when i watch Justin (sl1pg8ter from MainelyVapor) take his drags. They're INSANELY long and HUGE!. I just don't vape like that. So you should concider that also.

Just wanted to put my .02 in, Because I would hate for you to pass up something that could make you VERY happy, because it simply wasn't what other people wanted in a PV.

Thanks again everyone, this is my first post, and I LOVE the community and the people here are great peeps. Look forward to getting to know each and everyone of you alot better!

It's time to kick some ash!!

I absolutely love my eGo-C! I have experienced virtually no leaks.

Though I have given the following advice in a number of other threads, I will repeat it here as it is, to me, essential to trouble free performance with your C.
At each tank change, swab out the cone with a Q-tip. Insert it all the way down to the bottom of the cone and place it against the side wall and bottom ring. Rotate the shaft of the swab with your finger so that it circles around the cone. Do this twice then flip the swab over and lightly scrub the walls.
This may sound like a pain in the panties but assures you continued performance. Don't fool yourself and think there's any vaping method that is maintenance free and always clean. Cartos are about the least messy but all methods can be tamed with a simple routine of light cleaning. It's like wiping your keester. If you do it every time you won't get it all over your clothes.

I also use my C with cartos, a dual coil 3.5ml tank, and a drip tip.

As for the spare atty module availability, just buy em online. Most folks have to buy their stuff online anyways. (I envy you vapers that have bricks and mortar stores nearby!) Just order em up and vape on :)

BTW, the C comes with 5 atty modules. Use one for a week, pop it out, insert a new one, and clean the one you just popped out. It'll have plenty of time to dry until you need it again. I use spare 'flavor class' modules wherein I'll use one for sharp flavors, especially black licorice or cinnamon flavors.

Enjoy!

I don't think you'll be disappointed.

The eGo tanks dull flavor and TH. while the C is better than the older T tanks, they still can leak and be finicky. Since you said you want something that just works, I would def use cartos instead.

The eGo is 3.3-3.4V, not 3.7V like RoseBlue mentioned. Personally I would get a 3.7V PV instead of the eGo.
Check out the kGo, Epower, and newer Rivas. They are all 3.7V and have 510 connections. Their all about the same price and size as an eGo, but are 3.7V instead. They provide alittle more "oomph" but more importantly they handle the lower resistance attys and cartos a lot better.
I would get the kGo or Epower. Both have great battery life and give a great vape. Personally I use the Epower and the biggest difference is that the Epower uses non-proprietary batteries instead(like a flashlight). Epower batteries cost $4-5 compared to eGo/kGo/ riva batteries that are $14-20, and the Epower batts last longer before they need replaced. Also everything is replaceable on the Epower so it's cheaper to maintain. The batteries are 1050mah and I get avg a day to a day and a half on one battery.
I think you would really like either though and both would give you a better vape than an eGo and handle the lower resistance better.

I don't see the sense in settling for a 3.4 volt battery with the eGo when you can get a true 3.7 volt battery in the same physical size PV with larger mAh ratings with the Kgo, E-Power 510 or the Riva 510. You can use all the same attys/carto's with these three as you can the eGo and the prices are the same or less depending on the supplier.

The ego-c was my first upgrade and I like it but if you are looking for more after 7 days perhaps you will be like me and will upgrade again SOON! in 3 weeks I went from a v2 to an ego-c to a provari. I am now happy with the provari. A big battery mod (their all good) will give you the flavor, throat hit and vapor you may be craving. And if you go big now you will save that intermediate step that I now think the ego-c is. Just my :2c:. I'm a new vaper and looking back (2 weeks ) I wish I would have save the $ and just went for the larger mod. I only use the ego-c because I bought it. If you are set on the eco-c pm me and maybe I can save you some money.

Moving from a 3.7v kr808 like the v2 to a 3.4v ego was a huge difference. Couple that with the fact that I'd spend an hour getting the tank to wick just right and take it out to the bar only to have it leaky or burnt tasting and it was the first time in 8 months that I wound up just having a cigarette. I'm back to 3.7v again enjoying every cartomizer from 1.7 to 3.0 ohms, (because every juice I have tastes better at different watts) compared to maybe 2 cartos that work half as good on my ego.
