THE Tenergy Batts sure do fit in mine just perfect with room to spare on the sides and when I close it the threads close all the way perfect with no movement up or down what so ever using the Tenergy 750mAh RCR123A 3.0V & THE 900 mAh Batts, They also have been the best Batts I have found to date running 6v on any PV for that matter. If there is a Batt out now that is better I would like to know about it too..!!

Please note that the silver bullet was designed for 18650 battery's.

When using CR123'a there will be a gap between the battery's outside diameter and the inside diameter of the bullet.

My CR123'a fit very snug after the top is screwed on.

Can you possibly post a pic, so we can further assess your situation?

Understood, however 3.7v doesn't cut it for me. :) Don't have it with me, using my XHaler. If I don't line them up just perfect or wrap them with tape, the contacts won't hit and it doesn't work.

I know that there are battery sleeves out there for other PV's, anyone know of one that'll work with the SB? If not, I'm gonna sell it and stick w/ my XHaler. :(

Same here, I use the CR123A's 97% of the time in my bullet.

But I can agree with the other posters when I say the battery's should fit. Did you try to pull the spring out and stretch it a little? That spring is just pressed into the bottom half and should be easily removed with some pliers. That has worked for some people.

Dont know what else to say. We swear they work and work well!!:)

Another option is to add one of two small washer sized magnets to the negative end of one of the bats. This will take up the slack without messing with the spring. I even charge the bats witht the magnet on. no hassels.

Before dumping your unit, you might consider sending it in to alt.smoke so they could work it over for you. I have had nothing but stellar customer service from both Chad and Rob. You couldn't have a more satisfactory experience with Alt.Smoke unless they paid you to use their products. Even then I doubt it.

I'm definitely not knocking AltSmoke or the SB, it's an incredibly well-made device, it's just that I bought like 10 of these Tenergy batteries and would love to find a way to get them to work with it.

Guys, he is not saying they are too short. The SB bore diameter was intended for the 18650. The bore is .750in, just big enough for the 18650 batt. The CR123 batts are .650in in diameter, which would meant there will be .050in of room around the battery on each side. The contact in your unit is .300in in diameter. It will work, you just need to hold your tongue right :p. After you put the batt in, if it does not work, give the bottom a tap against the palm of your hand to align the batts.

There is a larger gap when using CR123a's but I haven't had any problems.

I'm thinking maybe once the spring puts tension on the batteries, the bottom one slants like this / and the top one slants like this \. If there is a large enough angle between the batteries then the edges/rims could touch before the batteries could make contact with each other.

You could try cutting up some cereal box type cardboard and making a sleeve with that. It would keep the batteries vertical in the SB and it would be pretty easy to do. Then you could know if that's really the issue.

On a few occasions I have used this tapping method with success. Ive only had to do that about twice in 3 months.

Good idea thanks! I had wrapped each battery with enough painters tape to stop them from moving around and that worked fine.

Didn't think of using cardboard, doh!

They work just fine. Make sure that when you attach the top that the "button" on the top battery is hitting the center of the battery contact. Then carefully screw it together. I've had the same issue but since carefully lining things up I haven't had one problem.

I had the exact same issues with the Tenergy 750 mAH’s until I started to line them up correctly. I also should note that I have a pair of the 900 mAH Li-ion batteries (the green ones) in which I never had this issue with.

I have the same batteries! They work great with the sb, but I have tried for a couple of days to get them to work with the (dbsb top). I get nothing! I can take one of the atys out and it works fine, basically I have another 75 dollar top...and not even the right color. I have noticed there is a differance between the two in the inside? There has to be something I am missing??? The dbsb works fine with regular energizer non rechargeable batteries....I really would love some better incite, because I strongly believe alt smoke IE rob and company! have been nothing but helpful in my journey into vaping....only issue would be is that alt smoke is really persistent in covering their ... in regards to 6v vaping! so I don't see it necessary to ask them. So I hand over my concerns and questions to this public forum! Thanks......that's what she said:p

Try that top again with 801's, The 510's draw more current in the 6v configuration and will trip the batts protection circuit :)
