Bad cartos are a thing, and we all know it. What tips would you all have in the way of making sure one works fine before finding out its bad in a tank... and wasting a few mls of juice?

I have a habit of priming and using them before I put them in a tank. The one I'm using now is a giant piece of crap, but it didn't show for about 12 hours :/.

There's no way of testing a carto prior to priming it and putting it into the tank. If you figure out a way, let everyone else know.

You can test for atomizer resistance accuracy with a multimeter or ohm tester prior to priming it. You can also do this if your regulated APV has a built in multimeter, but many of these devices test "under load", which means it tests while firing the heating coil. Unless you turn the voltage/wattage down to the lowest available, you could potentially burn the polyfill with no juice in it. It only takes a couple of seconds for that to happen; PBusardo demonstrated this in one of his videos. The entire contents of the unfilled carto went up in flames.

Will do. I assume dripping juice directly down the center into the coil then firing would do the trick, but we all know we don't want juice in there.

Yep, I ohm test mine. The VAMO V3 seems to not test under load, which is great. What video was that in? Now I want to go watch it haha.

Found that video by complete chance earlier. I honestly think I've ruined a few cartos by doing exactly that unknowingly.
The episode I saw it in I beleive was his cartotank tutorial and some short review of a carto punch tool. It's in my cartotank tutorial in my blog (link below my avatar).

Yep, that was the one. It actually popped up in the suggested videos on my YouTube side bar, and the video I was watching was completely unrelated. Google just knows.
