    Good morning everybody!

That water slide looks great ... but I doubt if I'd be able to live long enough to climb that staircase!

Boy, the triple digit temperatures in many places in the Country plus the bad storms yesterday and power outages, with more expected today, are sure making this a miserable summer for a lot of people. We're in pretty good shape here. The high today is supposed to be 96 and a 30% chance of rain.

Well, I can hear my headless chicken and Miss Piggy out on the porch and wanting fed. Miss Piggy and my dog Chance are quickly becoming friends ... so I'd better start getting all my varmits fed.

At least Gummy was nice enough to give a coffee (drink) warning before the pic. keyboards were saved thanks to his thoughtfulness, THANK YOU. It isn't good for computers to have the nose spray fluids getting into the works.

On another note, we had the storms come through here last night and a lot of people are out of power with downed trees and such. We got an alert call that the sewage treatment plant is out of power and asked us to not use outside water and to minimize inside water usage. I was at the gas station (BJ's) and we had a 15 minute wait to get to the pumps with everyone filling gas cans for their generators (reminder: get generator if BIL ever pays us back). Hoping Padre still has power.

Nope. Still no power. it went out Friday night and still out now. I have been at my MIL since Saturday morning. she has power. Traffic lights were out half the way down and a drive that usually takes an hour took two. When we finally came to a gas station that was open, the line to get gas was probably 30 cars. I skipped that and got gas a little further south.

I heard 1 and a half million people lost power in Md, DC and Va. Then the forecast was for 100 yesterday.

Mid to upper 90's still forecast coming up. I sure hoppe the power comes back on soon.

that storm was intense! and it came on a day we broke records with 104 degrees

Hope ya have a great day TT. Stay cool.

    Thanks FranC.

Honey girl is hurting pretty bad this morning so I don't know if we're going to be able to go out to the lake today or not. She's taken her pain pills, so we'll see how she feels later. Church was in the plans for this morning too, but I think that's going to be out. We have real good pews, but its hard for her to sit on them, especially when she's hurting bad.

But its not a total wash. The family out at the lake can always come by the house and visit with her a while. Its only seven miles from the house to the lake.

And I like taking care of her.

TT, we are cooling down to 104 today lol We also have a 30% chance of rain but that is just a 70% chance that it will not rain :( That is one odd thing about drier climates. In Charleston we would always get afternoon thunderstorms from the heat. It seems so odd here when it gets so hot and does not produce the afternoon storms. Of course the afternoon storms would just make a sauna out of things but at least it was rain!

The noob that I was trying to help was just too skeered to give me his address lol He is going to vape some nasty stuff that he has to get him by until he can get more flavors. I tried!

Have a good day everyone and try to stay cool :)

I have been putting ice blocks in my bird baths twice a day for the birds and critters that I feed/water. They have really been enjoying it. I may run the sprinkler for a bit late this afternoon.
