I am new to DYI so for my first attempt, (wanting to keep it simple), I got some TFA 555 Type DK tobacco flavoring from WizardLabs and added it at a 5% ratio to 24mg 70/30 base.
I mixed this on November 25 and used a heated ultrasonic jewelry cleaner to stir the mix, 4 times for 30min each time the first day, then once every other day for 30min for the next week. I then left the cap off in a cool dark closet for 24 hours.
When I tried it, it tasted musty, kind of like old wet grass or something.
I read through the DIY forum and ran across a thread that suggested adding a few drops of apple cider vinegar. I tried that and although there was a change, it just didn't work for me.
Letting it sit for another week hasn't improved the flavor.
So, my question now is, any suggestions for correcting this or is the TFA 555 Type DK tobacco flavoring just not that great?
TIA for any helpful advice.
