I made this up a while ago expecting something valuable right off the bat…well it didn't go as I had expected.

I don't recall any mention of steep times for this TFA flavor so my first vape on this was a bit underwhelming.

After a bit more than a week of open steep time…BAM! We have flavor in your face. My note on the initial vape was simply, "CRH Mild"

My mix was a 30ml batch at 8.16mg/ml nicotine 50/50 VG/PG, flavoring at 10%.

I'd like a bit of sweetener, and only have EM 10% on hand, so I'll try a side batch with it just to see, I'm thinking 1% of the EM 10%.

In any case, let the TFA CRH steep if you do a 50/50 mix, I may even cut back to 8-9% flavor.

EM only sweetens when it just happens to be more sweet than whatever we're putting it with - and it's definitely not sweeter than Cinnamon Red Hot candy! It should not be referred to a sweetener; it's an additive that 'smooths rough edges', makes the vape 'fuller' and substantially dulls flavor.

Wow, CRH at 10%?! yowzah+ We typically use it at 1-2%, and the only time we went to 5% it TOTALLY killed the other flavors and overwhelmed the liquid. Too each his own, of course... but wowee--zowee, that's a lotta redhot!

I'll run a batch at 5% and 2.5%, as I agree it turned out a bit shockingly strong. Tongue numbingly strong in fact.

It should be easy enough to make a 15ml batch of base to get 5% total flavoring and a 22.5ml batch to get 2.5% flavoring, with both topped up to 30ml with the 10% flavoring mix I have now.

On my initial test though it was as I said very mild compared to the local vape shops offering.

Though after steeping it jumped up by several orders.

Is steeping a normal procedure for CRH or is this a function of my 50/50 PG/VG mix?

As for sweetener, I like the fullness that EM gives a vape, and will get my hands on some sucralose liquid to see how that goes.

Thanks for the input, I'm certainly needing all the input I can get.

This was one of my first favorites, and I still like it. I like it strong - 10-12%. I'm using the alcohol-based version in pure VG now (at 10%), but I used to use it in 60/40 PG/VG at about 12%. I mix, set the closed bottle in warm water a few minutes to thin it, shake like mad, and vape right away. As leftovers sit a day or two, yes - it gets stronger, for sure. I like it even better then. If I actually break a sweat, it's hot enough. The ideal way to vape this flavor is with a mouthful of red hot candies. that'll moisten your forehead!:evil:

I'm trying 2.5% and 5% with a few days of open steep and daily shake rattle and roll to mix it up prior to testing it again. I'd like to see a final product that's a little more complex than just CRH, I have taken a liking to koolada so that's likely in the future.

For now I want a full bodied CRH that's not going to kill my ability to taste my ADV. I think I really need some pipettes and pipette pumps to make measuring easier down to the 1/100th of a ml and maybe a better atty or three
