What does the RY4 Double (TPA) flavoring smell like to others? My freshly opened bottle smells somewhat 'anisey' and perhaps a bit chemically. I detect no caramel or vanilla in the smell at all.
Was wondering what others are experiencing with this flavoring's smell?
TIA
Sounds typical of DRY4 smell, nothing like how it tastes IMHO, although I typically mix it with at least extra caramel and bavarian cream....see RWhy4

I just mixed up some RY4 double 5% with cheesecake (LorAnn) and a little bit of Ultimate Vanilla from TastyVape. I can't wait until it is ready. So I should steep it for a month?

I was also looking for a good cherry tobacco recipe if anyone has one to share.

I also made a small bottle of RY4 Double with some Black Cherry and a tint of Vanilla. Any good recipes for Black Cherry?

both sound good esp. the cherry....might look for a cherry cola recipe.

I LOVE ry4 double but have vaped it so much I can't taste it anymore, currently forcing myself into taking a loooong break from it until my taste buds come back.

MissA I did that with a caramel I was buying from a local store. Got vapors tongue. Just realized when I mix my own caramel cream I can taste it a little but still can't vape too much.

My problem is I need to make enough ry4 and let it steep long enough before I vape it HA!

My favorite mix with ry4 is a little Bavarian cream and a hint of hazelnut.

I can see me mixing many other different flavors with ry4. Fruits maybe? Or butterscotch

Have you gotten vapors tongue or by chance do you have a remedy for that?

I had this real bad for 2 months, it was maddening. I kept chasing after it by adjusting flavor percentages and my recipes ended up all over the place. What worked for me was changing up flavors, a bit of this, then some of that. Keeping well-hydrated was the best advice I found here, drinking plenty of water really does help.

The only tobacco vape I've ever enjoyed is Halo's Tribecca, and it's one of my partner's ADVs. I tried some premixed RY4 flavors and did not like any of them (what's with that clove flavor in so many of them?), so I finally tried TFA's RY4 Double.

I mixed 10ml at 10% and added one drop of AP, tiniest drop I could manage from a syringe. Warm water bath, mad shaking, immediate vape. It's a hit! My partner said it's a perfect match, so I loaded two identical setups (eGo batt, LR cartomizer) to compare it to Tribecca.

No, it is not exact, at least not immediately after mixing. One more tiny drop of AP brought it closer in flavor, but I will avoid adding more (don't want the Fritos effect). It's sweeter yet not as strongly flavored as Tribeca. Next time I'll mix at 12% and add a drop of AP for each 5ml. As long as my partner's thinks it's a match, no need to chase the tiny remaining differences. Perhaps it'll change a bit as it ages, but no GOOD vapes get a chance to age long here, so I may never know.

I'm really surprised what a great match TFA's flavor is!

You might want to check out fogMann's Tribeca Clone 26 using RY4 Double.

I've never tried Halo's Tribeca, but frogMann's clone is a darn good vape!

Yah, if I already had those other 'baccy flavors I'd try it, but I'm truly pleased with just 10% RY4D with a dash of AP. It's a real sense of accomplishment to DIY a reasonable sub for the flavors that got me of cigs in the first place, and cheap enough I don't have to ration it out, lol.

Yeah, I understand. I just created my best DIY. It's not complicated. 13% DRY4 1 drop AP per 5ml and 1 drop Vape Wizard per 10ml. 30/70 PG/VG mix at 12mg/ml. The great thing is I love this juice, and because of that I didn't go spend 60 bucks for 120ml of my favorite that I get locally. So despite spending a good amount getting into DIY, it really will be cost effective in the long run. And I enjoy it too. I am so glad this forum has all this info!

1 - I cannot use the AP - Gives me a definite Bready taste which I don't care for. Almost shelved the DRY4 because of it.

2 - All RY4 blends definitely change with Steep time. If nothing else, get a thermal Coffee travel mug and hot water steep/shake for a few hours. Mine will keep the water warm for up to 3 hours.

After a few attempts, I have DRY4 in my rotation in various mixes and very much enjoy the vape.

I just tried the RY4D @ 8% and AP @ 2% for my first DIY. Couldn't wait and after 2 days, I love it.

Going to make 30ml next and let it set for awhile.

Just thought I would add a pic of the color change of one of my ry4 recipes. Left mixed this morning and right after 3 weeks steep. I have never posted a pic so hope it shows up.

I love it when the juice turns red. I've had some very good commercial ones do that. ...care to share your recipe?
