TFA Honeydew & NF Melon

My buddy keeps buying this honeydew juice from some vendor or other, and it is delicious, so I decided to experiment with some melon-y flavors & see what happens. Whilst stocking up on other things I snagged some NF melon and a sample of TFA honeydew... never worked with these or with melons in general.

Anyone tried either of these? Any good?

TFA Honeydew is very good and has an accurate flavor. It is miles better than Cap Honeydew. As for melon flavors in general, I believe TFA does a very good job (including Watermelon and Cantaloupe). I have no experience with NF melon flavors. I know NF are extracts, so they contain a substantial amount of ethyl alcohol. Proper evaporation through steeping may be required to properly evaluate NF mixes.

I have a bottle of TFA Honeydew (which I've never tried) and a bottle of VZ's Honeydew (not SC or Gourmet), which I have tried.

The VZ is absolutely phenomenal in smell & taste. The TFA smells 'weak' and 'lacking in flavor components' (like a very underripe honedew, imo). But since I haven't actually used the TFA, all I have to offer is a "smell comparison". Btw, both recipes in which I used the VZ Honeydew, I had to cut the percentage by 50%.

I'm vaping a TFA honeydew mix right now. Good stuff. Your buddy's juice might be Honey Pearry from TVC. If that's the case, you can look online for a clone recipe.

2% Honeydew
2% Cantaloupe
2% Orange Cream (optional)

Do you find the Honeydew overpowers other flavors? I think the 2% is perfect. Anything higher [for me] drowns out all other flavors in the mix. It's good stuff though!

The Honeydew does tend to become dominant. The above recipe is very good.

Got my orders in today & mixed some flavor tests. Excited about TFA honeydew (and TFA watermelon, forgot I ordered that haha). The NF melon is good but lighter; it has more of the crispness of melon but less of that sweet honeydew flavor.

Going to experiment with XfooYen's recipe this week sometime; don't have any cantaloupe so I will wing it a bit. Maybe try guava. I am also going to experiment with NF melon/TFA honeydew & watermelon mixes to see what that does. Look forward to it, thx for the sweet recipe

I have tested the TFA honeydew and watermelon.
This is from my notes.

In a 15ml plastic dripping bottle there was added.
7.5ml of 100mg/ml nicotine pg
3ml TFA Honeydew
This was then reacted in an 1100watt microwave for 10seconds then shaken.
4.5 ml vg was then added and reacted by microwave for 9 seconds.
Be warned the nicotine level is about 50mg/ml at this point.
I tested in a Vivi nova on a vision spinner at 4.2 volts.
The flavor is verry strong at 20% additional vg is then added to bring down the nicotine and flavor to taste.
I could have adjusted the formula this is just the method I use. I start high on the nicotine and flavor and work it down with vg untill I get it to where I like it.
My friends really like the way this smells and vapes. I think it smells better than it tastes.

Watermelon
Process same as above.
I love this flavor it doesn't taste like watermelon candy its more like a real watermelon.
Although I have a big problem with it. At 20% I find it weak too weak for me.
I sent an email and the nice people at TFA informed me that the flavor is what it is and that's as strong as they have it. It was suggested I let it steep for a while. Thats what I'm doing with it now. Ill test it again in a few weeks.
I just know if it is diluted in pg like it says on the label then somewhere there has to be a more concentrated form of it. 20% flavoring is where I draw the line. Anymore than that and I start looking for other options.
