I pruchased M-type and Ry4 double tabacco flavor from TFA. I was warned that the M-type was toxic and very strong so I made a batch with only 1.5% flavor in 70/30 base at 24 nic.

I vaped it and it was just like eating a graham cracker. I was in vape heaven.

A lot of posts I see here say the Ry4 double is the way to go for tobacco flavors go so I mixed a batch of TFA Ry4 double at 4% in the same base and added 1% vanilla flavor when I vaped that batch I almost choked to death.

I steep everything for at least 4 hours in an ultrasonic cleaner and do the 1 drop per 10 mil apple cider vinegar thing too.

My question to the group is there anybody else that likes TFA M-type tobacco more than RY4 double. I have read a couple of posts that describe Ry4 similar to graham crackers and not too many posts that are very positive about M-type tobacco flavor.

Has anybody ever received flavors from TFA that were mis marked? Maybe my lables were swiched at the factory. This M-type is great and I can't get enough of it. Sounds like all of the Ry4 posts I read.

From what I have read here a lot of posts relate M-type to toxic waste and Ry4 to the best thing since sliced bread.

m-type is the darker of the two, golden yellow, contains ethyl alcohol and smells like it. ry4 double is pale yellow to almost clear and smells like nutty caramel.

Thanks for clearing this up for me. They are labeled correctly. I guess I am one of the odd ones that just love the m-type stuff. I am going to try the ry4 double again at 2% and see if I can enjoy it as much as everyone else. Oh and I also like the Kona Coffee but at about one micro drop per 30 mil or it will take over the house.

The TFA RY4D needs a long steep. So far I haven't found the sweet spot for TFA RY4D I've mixed it at the member suggested percentages, but to me it was way too heavy.

I find that most of the member suggested percentages are too high for me too. I usually only use 3% max on any single flavor and I am having good results...

I am still chasing the analog experience. Flavors that used to make my eyes water actually smell good now. I think once I have something mixed with nic the brain is content. I do remeber hating the taste and smell of analogs when I first started but adapted pretty fast. The same thing is happening with my DIY experience...

Anything is better then going back to analogs though..

As a former cigarette smoker for 40 years I preferd the m-type over the sweeter tobacco flavors when I was first quiting. Now that I've been off analoges for 9 months I'm also starting to enjoy the sweeter desert type vapes. It's all a matter of taste and taste seems to be constantly changing.

@dannyv45 - same here. I started with a tobacco juice. within 2 weeks of being off analogs I wanted nothibng to do with tobacco flavors & went to sweet flavors. then vapors tongue came along - lasted a week or so & I had to switch up again. Energy drink type flavor is my go to flavor. But I still like dripping a tobacco flavor once in a while. I have a M-type premix & hate it.

now that I'm mixing my own - I mixed DRY4 w/ bav cream & a dash of hazelnut - loved my first 3ml sample! didn't let that steep for only a few days. made a 15 ml bottle & trying to let that steep longer. I'm finding that I'm looking to add a hint of tobacco to some of my flavors. but M-type will not be in my inventory of flavors. I do not get graham crackers out of RY4

Don't get me wrong I still love my tobaccos but as my taste change I also venture into the fruits and deserts. My horizon on vaping is broadening into other areas but tobaccos still are my go to's. I've moved away from the m-types and go more for the nutty tobaccos now.

I mix most single flavors at 4-7%. Too much flavoring tastes funky to me. I like some flavors now that tasted gross to me before, and some of my old favorites I can't stand anymore. I couldn't stand tobacco flavors when I started vaping, now most of my favorite vapes are tobacco.

Mtype could be toxic real quick, I've been mixing with it lately and Its an all around good tobacco flavor. As previously said its like an American Red. Highest I'll mix so far is 1.5% and that is STRONG! I've made one good recipe so far but it needs to be tweeked.

1% Mtype
4% Orange Cream
1% Smooth

I was aiming for something like a Camel Twist. this was a good start, but all i really taste is that Mtype. The orange is starting to come out, but its mild and very background.

My next project is to premix the Mtype, im thinking 25% or 50%. Measuring out anything less then 10ml at 1% with the Mtype is HARD!!! That's how strong this stuff is. I would love to mix it at .25% but lets face it, that's 1 drop in 10ml, no where near accurate.

To the OP, you never told us how that recipe turned out after steeping? I'm mixing up a chocolate Mtype right now and wondering how yours turned out?

Mix 1ml of Flavor in 9ml of PG then you can get your .25% easily

........ It's all a matter of taste and taste seems to be constantly changing.

My taste buds seem to be changing again. Here of late, I've had to change my percents on everything. Makes no rhyme or reason though, because I have to go up on some, down on others. The good part of that is that I'm still finding mixes that I like really well.

I'm also wondering if our equipment isn't playing a part in that as well. I think almost every one is benefiting from better equipment design, regardless of what they're using.

When I went to the 804s I had to lower my nic level and lower the percents in some of my mixes. Recently I went to mechs because of two lava tube types in a row quickly developing button problems, so now I'm wrapping my coils at lower ohms to suit the mechs. I'm thinking that's playing a role as well as changing tastes.

I'm not quite sure why you would use an m-type with a fruit. M-type tends to be a bit over powering and ashy and does not seem it would go well with a fruit or sweet. I would have chose a more netural tobacco or one with a bit of sweetness.
