I've been mixing my own juices for a little under a year, and I have always either gone to Lorann or TFA for my concentrates. I used a 70PG/30VG mix and 10mg nicotine. I find myself mixing ~20% flavor into the mix in order to get a pronounced flavor, and to be honest I feel like it's still lacking. I've experimented on a small scale with adding upwards of 30%, but don't find that cost-effective.

I absolutely love TFA's mint candy and juicy peach, along with their honeydew, and Lorann's banana cream, pomegranate and lemonade. I've heard a lot of talk about Flavorwest and Capellas lately, and don't know jack about either of those companies. Lorann's caramel doesn't quite seem there, and the same goes for their eggnog (I know that one's a stretch as it is), nor TFA's wintergreen, hypno, strawberry or milk chocolate.

I'm looking for concentrates to make a banana cream pie, apple pie, chocolate raspberry, mountain dew/cherry coke, and caramel apple.

What flavors do you expert DIYers get from which companies, and which have you found to be the absolute best? Do I need to be adding 20% to my mix, or can I skate by at 15%?

There is no one *right* answer. Working strictly with TFA, I usually use around 15% flavorings but it ranges from 2% to 22% (in 50/50). It just depends.

And TFA - just like every other flavoring company - has some flavorings that are considered better than others. No one company is *best*. Personally, I'm using more and more Capellas (especially for fruits) and FlavourArts (tobaccos) but everyone's tastes differ. TFA's DRY4 (tobacco) is one of my absolutely favorites and I like their banana cream and juicy peach (among others).

I do tfa and capellas around 10-20% usually closer to the 20. been trying to use less flavoring and have been able to get that using flavorart so far. I think the highest Ive gone on a multi flavor vape is about 8%. single flavors from them have been good around 2-4% ... I really really like their fruit flavors, and cream, and the rum and....... ok I like them all . to me they seem more true to the fruit than any Ive tried. :2c::vapor:

If you're looking to make great juice, it's not really a matter of one over another. Each producer's flavoring has good points and bad points and the key is bringing out the good and mitigating the bad.

I often say that Cap's has the best coconut, but I still have, and use Lorann's, FA's and TPA/TFA's coconut. Sometimes I use one of them, sometimes two of them, and sometimes.... It all depends on what I'm doing. It's not like one is the holy grail and all others are tin cups....

I'm completely uncertain if I'm explaining this well...

I used to use higher percentages, but recently, I've been using about 10% TFA, and I shake and let it sit for awhile before adding more. Too much flavor masks it. Odd.

A few companies sell concentrated flavors. I just put a worksheet together on where to find each company's flavors when/if you decide to try some other flavors. Let me know if you want to know which places sell the concentrated ones.

I started with 15% on many of the TFA fruit flavors--Peach Juicy, Strawberry Ripe, Green Apple, etc. but as they aged--the flavor became overpowering or my taste buds just got pickier because I have reduced all of them to 10% and love them again. I am also mixing at 70PG/30VG with 10mg/ml nic.

+ 1 this

I've been noticing the same thing and have been diluting most of my stuff.
I kept adding a little flavoring every day or two, and after a week, wow, knocks my socks off @ 20%.
But that's using my dripper too, some are just right in a vivi nova, Kanger Mini, etc.
Thinking... now I gotta run 2 different mixes?, depending on what I'm using, PITA.

I mix single TFA flavors at no more than 6-7%. I've found that the LESS you use, the MORE flavor you get. I think I have ONE combo mix that's 15%, and that's with multiple flavors. My ADV has 6 ingredients that equal 11%, and anyone who's tried it said that it was strongly flavored. I agree.

That said, I just got some Flavor Art flavors, and 3% is PLENTY.
