Hi,

Just came to work for an all nighter shift. I had my grand, three atties, extra pair of batteries (for 6V), and extra bottle of juice-and 2 layers of backups. In the pkg lot, a 510 atty died. About 20 min later, a HV IKV 510 died. About 10 min ago- my last 510 atty died!!!!!!! This has NEVER happened before-all of these atties have been consistently in rotation for about 7 weeks. I checked the reo-no problem there that I can see, same batteries, nothing unusual. I truly think it was bad luck.

So...broke out the 20 dollar sparkplug, checked the atties-which indeed were dead, and thank God I have 2 3.7 V batts, a 306 atty, and about 4 LR cartos in my backpack. If I didn't have those-i do have a pack of Blu in my trunk. ...if they all failed...either I'd be looking for a pack of lucky strikes in about 45 min, or trying to rig a light bulb into a PV. Whew.

My grand is now lonely and sleeping in my backpack-till I can give it another 510-IKV pacemaker when I get home.

I carry 8 cig sized units (808's,510's and a 401) with 8 cartos in place (with 3 flavors)
On one occasion I had 3 go down within a few hours of each other. I don't have a car charger that I carry.
But with 8, I'm never gonna run shy. The odds are just too great for all to fail at once.
So unless I lose the whole bundle, I should be good.

Wow, that makes me rethink my usual packing for 3 1/2 days. I take my two Grands, with 3 extra attys. Also 2 KR808's with some cartos. I felt like I had my Grands covered for attys. Now I am thinking I should maybe put in a couple extra. I get quite paranoid!!!! Thanks for making me consider upping my stash!
