I meant to thank Motabrownie and called Motabrownie - .... I'm sorry mota - that's what I get for trying to multitask while vaping myself into a stawnilla coma and falling asleep

.... - as far as dry hits on a Nautilus rebuild - time will tell - did you single coil cotton wick? I loved this tank for the first few weeks and the first few coil swap outs were fine as well. Now? ugh... getting dry burnt hits and finding dead coil heads straight from the blister packs.

Mota suggested the ehpro KFL+ nano - I ordered 2 - for the price I couldn't go wrong there. They were out of pink, so I got clear, I can get some colors down the road :)

I'm still waiting for more Nautilus tanks that I found on sale from a wholesaler out in CA a few weeks ago. I ordered 3 and a pack of coils, free shipping even. Finally got a shipment confirmation but for less than the price of one tank and a pack of coils I can wait for slow processing and shipping!

You guys are the most helpful, genuinely amazing group and truly a family!! :toast: I can't thank you enough!

I'm really excited now!!

As for my strawnilla addiction - :vapor: I can't stop! bahahahaha - I didn't order a gallon but I did order 60ml each of straw and frenilla - so I might be ok for a little while. One bottle of each is supposed to be in steepage but I still have all my NT bottles in my vape basket on my coffee table. Nothing has made it to a steep drawer... yet, some will *nodnodnod* ... maybe

Thanks again everyone - you guys are the best :)

Its Ok, Remie. My wife calls me a .... at least 3 times a day :vapor: :D

Yeah I was also getting dry hits, flooding, and dead coils straight from the blister packs. Apparently they found an issue with their coils and have since updated them. The problem is a lot of vendors don't tell you if they're selling the older or the revised versions.

Yeah, I did Riptripper's method. Single coil with cotton. I never could get them to wick properly. I gave up after about the tenth try and that's when I ordered a Russian 91%. That is also when I caught the bug for rebuildables and have never looked back. I have two lightly used, but retired, nautiluses in my closet lol.

You'll love your kayfuns, without a doubt, congrats!

For dripping, I recommend highly the delicious deep well of the Magma. While I started out with a clone, the real dealio is first on my list for shopping (if I ever have any money left over after my love of NT carries on...). Great airflow control, quick snazzy vapor delivery. Super easy to build on!

The tobh Atty is fantastic! I love mine dearly, and only move on to other things when I'm dripping in a situation where I might accidentally bump the top cap off of it. That being said, having a top cap that pops off willingly is wonderful for checking on your wick, and adding juice accordingly. The airflow is excellent with this one, although it took me a while to learn to take the whole cap off to adjust it, rather than ginch down my mvp connector till it quit making proper contact. Building is also a snap with this rda.

Right now I'm in love with an Enigma. The Eyes have it! for sure! While I'd never drilled out a dripper before, something made me get out the diamond shaper set and the Dremel when I got home. Both airholes in the cap got a size boost, as did the post holes for wire (since, after all, I did have all the tools to hand!). Oh I remember what it was; it WHISTLED when I did a dry hit before cleaning. That had to go! Sturdy little thing, easy to build on as the others I've mentioned were. Happy with the airflow, but with this one I wasn't looking for adjusting, just a little cloud system maker. Builds a treat, easy on the eye...

I've gone through the trident v2 (awesome little guy, still use the 3 I've got when I'm taste testing the steep closet). I love setting up the 3 of them in a row with the same coil on them, then tucking a shorty short of Shiseido cotton through the coil. Holds just enough juice to get a good taste, take a second or third drip if I like what hits my taste buds, easy to just yank out the cotton and stuff in more after a rinse and move on. Easy to build on once you get used to the wierdo cap screws they decided to use on this dripper (which I still haven't found an easy supply of, so, paranoid everytime I rebuild that I'll lose one). The cap screws don't back off far enough to send the wire home in the posts unless you are very fractional backing them off, and make sure they are still caught.
Well worth putting a build you want to keep awhile on, though! The cap has a variety of airflow adjustments available with the ring. Can easily be drilled out to add airflow to the holes in the cap, or even the ones up from a poor cousin clone.

The Omega (lots of fun once I learned that different sized coil legs with a bit extra on would help install the coil with the post holes lower than the rim of the deck). Solid service, cap is built for either one or two hole airflow options. I love the placement of the logo on the cap; it tells me at a glance how I want to reset it after a peek inside for rejuicing or morbid interest in the welfare of the coil.

I found the Origen really ticked me off with its build setup (just give me posts with holes already please!). Once I got a working coil wrestled onto it, it delivered steady performance that I can't argue with. I just hate coiling this one!

Which brings me to rda's. I guess I'm stuck on the post hole love, cause wrapping wires just makes me cranky. I have to force myself to recoil, whether it is the kayfun (where's the fun in THAT?) lite plus I've got, or my rsst's. We won't even speak of mesh. You will definitely get mesh advice from someone else if you want to use it, because DANG!. Just sayin. Top deck is a great idea with the rsst, but once again, compression/spring and screw down connections make this honey badger NASTY!

Hope springs eternal; between online reading and in person visits to vape shops when I have the time (and money LOL) I really hope to be brought around to Love of the RBA someday. It would take the oh snap out of dealing with tanks, that just don't deliver the flavor I want to savor...

Thanks! They were shipped already!

I took my first step in coil building today.

I just did Rip Trippers single coil cotton build on 3 of my gunky nautilus coils. It was fun - and easier than I thought. They are reading at 1.2 - 1.3 ohms (using the provari to ohm check) I did 8 wraps of 28g kanthal (same as in the video) but getting lower ohm reading. Will try one with an extra wrap. I did notice that I needed much less cotton wick than I first thought. I'll fill a tank and vape one of them later.

Now I'm really excited to get those kayfuns because I know the coil build will be easy. My collection of Nautilus tanks might be retired soon as well. :vapor:

I don't own a Magma (yet) but I still recommend them - I got to play with one at a vape shop and I was impressed.

Aside from being hard to build, the Veritas is the best "no leak" dripper on the market imho - flavor is fantastic.

I am hitting the TOBH v2.5 alot lately, also.

The Quasar is dynamite - I own (2)... (only dripper I have more than one)

Brass Monkee is solid.

Tugboat.

Patriot.

Lots of options LMAO. I have too many toys.
