For rtas I have an ehpro kayfun lite plus v2 and two "authentic" Russian 91% v2. In my little rda collection so far I have a tobh, stillaire, magma, and a trident v2.

It's a learning process and when scratching the surface it can be intimidating. But in all reality it's super easy once you learn the basics. As long as you do your research, and obtain the proper tools, you'll be building coils in no time. Building on a rta can be a little tricky at first, because there's little room for error with the wicking. It's trial and error, but doesn't take more than a mistake or two to figure it out for most people.

I personally like the Russian 91% v2 over the Kayfun lite plus v2 for one reason, more airflow. You can adjust both of them via a screw, but the Russians have more airflow than the kayfun when opened up. I would suggest having a syringe on hand for when you need to take it apart to make an adjustment, ie rewicking, you can save your juice by sucking it out of the fill hole. I've learned a few tricks along the way and when you're ready to start building I'd be more than happy to help. I'll even Skype with you and can watch me do a build if you wish. I'm all about sharing the knowledge and helping where I can.

As far as drippers go I would highly recommend the Magma. It's my favorite. You're not going to be blowing competition sized clouds, but it is a flavor junkie's dream. It has air channels that come in from the bottom, channel up and come out underneath the coil, just like a kayfun style rba. Super deep juice wells, I haven't counted, but a reviewer was saying that he could drip around 40 drops of 50/50 into it. It can be ran in dual or single coil mode.

Good luck! If you need anything that I can help with shoot me a pm.

not too experienced with Skype but can it do a 3-way? I'd love to hop in on watching that :D

Well i can only say a reo + the right atomizer is a safe bet. For me a reo with a RM2 attached provides everything i need without the hassle of tank cleaning, dead heads (still have an MVP with a aerotank mega.. but that is a backup already..). The reo is clean, simple and will last a lifetime (with all the parts that can be repaired).

I have two EhPro Kayfun Lite Plus V2 clones and they're great. As mentioned, the only time I've ever had an issue was due to my inexperienced wicking skills. I found the sweet spot on how much cotton to use for each diameter coil I build, so it's easy peasy now. I need to pick up another one now that I'm thinking about it.

As for drippers, I will +1 the Magma RDA. I got the clone by infinite from my local B&M for $30 and it's really good. I think I need to fine tune my coil build on it because the flavor on my first build is just meh. Not bad, but not as good as my KFL+ clones. For a dripper to produce less flavor than my KFL+, I believe it's my coil...

Of course, these are my personal recommendations as of this moment, but a REO Grand is on my birthday wish list...
Went round and round with coils on the magma. Sub ohm, twisted, duels. Finally settled on a 5/64 28g 1.2 ohm believe it or not. 14-15 watts. Virus just pops.

My girlfriend says it can do a 3 way... not sure how she knows that

LoL....But yeah, I'm willing to help in anyway, shape, or form. I can also be on Skype when you do your build and can answer any questions as needed.

You will find it much easier to mount a coil, dry-burn, and re-wick a reo with an rm2 than any tank that I know of. If I were to go back to a tank system, it would be the pro tanks with re-built coils like MKR'. Less prone to leaks, easier to fill, and you could have one for each flavor if you wanted. The russian/kfl is also bulkier/heavier and will make your mod top-heavy.

Remie, you can't go wrong with a Kayfun. Once you coil it a few times it's an easy process that takes less than 10 minutes. Once you build a coil that works well, it's a quick process to pull the cotton wick, dry burn it, and install a new wick every 2 or 3 days and keep on vaping. If you are like me, You will find that the fresh wick just makes the flavor blossom. Lots of people do that and keep the same coil going for weeks.

This little item makes fast work creating a beautiful coil quickly. They look perfect every time and that's important if you use cotton wicking. Sure, you can wind coils on a small phillips screwdriver or a drill bit, but why do that when this is under $8? Recommended.

Then, watch Rip Trippers build a single coil and then a dual coil in a Kayfun Lite. He makes it look easy (and it is) but the best part is that he produces his videos in a way that conveys all the information you need to know with clarity.

Muhahahaha. I listen to Tool once in awhile when the mood strikes, but that's seldom anymore. This avatar is from Alex Grey, the artist that did most of their album covers. His artwork can only be described as psychedelic. I'll put on some mellow background music :)

I agree that all the SS in the Kayfun can make a mod top heavy. That's why I chose to use the long polycarbonate clear tank insert in mine instead of the all steel build or the small poly tank. Any SS tank can make a tube mod easy to tip over, but the Kayfun's flavor makes it all worthwhile. My Nautilus and my Kanger Aerotank Mega are both cursed with a top heavy weight problem.

If you do decide to get a Kayfun, here is a video showing how I wick mine. Since I started using this wicking technique, I have virtually eliminated dry hits. I can vape the tank nearly empty without a dry hit. It might take a few attempts to get it right, but once you do, the Kayfun is a beast. The only drawback is the filling procedure could be better. You can fill from the bottom via the fill hole, which is a pain. Or you can fill from the top, which, at times, can be a pain. I love mine now that I have a wicking technique that works.

His method does create some heavy vapor. You'd think that having wick outside the coil would just lead to more juice buildup and burning on the coil, but obviously he's got something that works.

Did you notice that everything in the video is reversed? The letters on his shirt are reversed and the writing on the blackboard is reversed! It's almost like the camera is shooting the image of him in a mirror for some reason.

That's the method that I 've been using for the past month or so and I love it. Nice, clean, delicious, vaporful hits, even while chain vaping.

Yeah, I noticed that the first time I watched the video, when he was unscrewing the pieces to the Kayfun.

Thank you .... for the link - I ordered my KFL :) I've watched a bunch of YouTube vids and bookmarked the ones you guys linked. I'm going to use Rip Trippers' vid to do a single coil build in my Nautilus heads.

As far as top heavy - the Nautilus is pretty beefy. It's fine on the provari though (full size not mini) so I'm figuring the KFL shouldn't be a problem.

Off Topic: I have a confession - I'm vaping another tank of Strawnilla *sigh* I could not resist. It screamed louder than the GCD
I have a problem  I can't stop vaping this stuff

Good call on the KFL+. I seriously love mine.

I have the genuine one, and a couple of EHPro clones. I like them just as much - and given that you can get 3 of them for the price of one genuine, it's a no-brainer.

If you ever want something a bit smaller, I also have the Kayfun Nano clones by... uh... *digs up order email*... ah, well, by EHPro too :p and they're just as good (I got the full ones, not the body kit). Plus, they come in colors.

All are very easy to build. I'm still tinkering with the wick, though, but I'll get there eventually.

I hope you have better luck with the nautilus rebuilds than I did.. dry hits galore.

I have the same issue with the strawnilla... I've gone through about 25-30mls so far.. I only grabbed 100... need more now! Argh. It makes it even worse that they're sold out of the higher nic stuff. Next time around I'm going to hoard it lol.

I meant to thank Motabrownie and called Motabrownie - .... I'm sorry mota - that's what I get for trying to multitask while vaping myself into a stawnilla coma and falling asleep

.... - as far as dry hits on a Nautilus rebuild - time will tell - did you single coil cotton wick? I loved this tank for the first few weeks and the first few coil swap outs were fine as well. Now? ugh... getting dry burnt hits and finding dead coil heads straight from the blister packs.

Mota suggested the ehpro KFL+ nano - I ordered 2 - for the price I couldn't go wrong there. They were out of pink, so I got clear, I can get some colors down the road :)

I'm still waiting for more Nautilus tanks that I found on sale from a wholesaler out in CA a few weeks ago. I ordered 3 and a pack of coils, free shipping even. Finally got a shipment confirmation but for less than the price of one tank and a pack of coils I can wait for slow processing and shipping!

You guys are the most helpful, genuinely amazing group and truly a family!! :toast: I can't thank you enough!

I'm really excited now!!

As for my strawnilla addiction - :vapor: I can't stop! bahahahaha - I didn't order a gallon but I did order 60ml each of straw and frenilla - so I might be ok for a little while. One bottle of each is supposed to be in steepage but I still have all my NT bottles in my vape basket on my coffee table. Nothing has made it to a steep drawer... yet, some will *nodnodnod* ... maybe

Thanks again everyone - you guys are the best :)
