How long do you guy let it steep for? I got a bottle of RY4 with a born on date of 8/1 and its still tasting like a kind of dirty tobacco. I have been hoping to taste some caramel or vanilla soon or any kind of sweet taste. I think I remember that 2-3 months should do it but figured I would ask in the forum to make sure.

The bottle I have was born 8/2, and after a month it was to my liking...I don't get overpowering sweet caramel or vanilla and compared to the other renditions of Ry4 I actually prefer it with less sweet. I really like the tobacco base for this, it has a nice bite but not the dryness (and sometimes harshness) that is characteristic of stuff like 555 and very woody tobaccos.

In my mind, it is much more like a pure tobacco (that is on the sweeter end of pure tobaccos) instead of a tobacco/sweet mix if that makes any sense...I don't know how much longer this bottle will be able to steep as I'm already over 15ml into it after finding the sweet spot (no pun intended) for this Ry4.

Well that sucks. Guess I'll try giving it another month. I actually think the tobacco taste is very woody but like you said not as dry as some. It has mellowed a lot since I got it which I am glad for. The tobacco taste when I first got it was so pungent I couldn't stand even trying it but now I can vape it ok... just doesn't taste like much. Kind of boring. I thought it was just my taste was off but have had several other people try it last night and they couldn't find anything but the tobacco taste either... try again in a few more weeks I guess.

I believe the first bottle I had was about 3 months old before I vaped it by itself. When I first vaped it, I mixed it with either vanilla bean or one of the Maltys because it was too strong for me. My 2nd bottle (the one I'm vaping now), was born on 8/1 and I'm enjoying it now....indicating that tastes indeed change.

Well... If you really don't like it I can PM my address :) lol
Never had a chance to try this yet, and I sure am curious.

You know I may just do that. Like I said I have had several people try it and none of them can really taste much from it but I am going to wait another month. If it doesn't improve I will give it to someone. Send me a PM as a reminder. It just really makes me mad cause I got a bunch of bottles from there and none were to my liking except the casa and peach! I was really hoping to finally have found my go to shop! I've tried many Ry4's and liked them all till now. Maybe in another month it will come around... I did notice a less woody taste this week from last. I was told by some to add some Malty to it but I really would rather taste it the way it was meant to be to make a decision you know.

i find that BWB RY4 is unlike any other RY4 that i have tried. it is very mellow compared to most RY4's out there. to be honest, i don't really taste vanilla or caramel directly. to me it is a slightly sweet, dry, tobacco vape. i do like it, quite a bit actually, but it is not something i vape consistently. i have tried it both right out of the mailbox and well stepped (first bottle was born on 6/17/11). i like it enough that i ordered a second 30ml bottle about 5 weeks ago.
