I'm trying to make new members feel welcome by drawing out their experiences! It's a conversation tactic where you make a statement that is probably true, yet gives someone an opening to fill in the details so they feel welcome and valued until the pills kick in and we can go through their wallet. We've gone over this at the meetings.

Thank you, Batman, for the tip on rayon! (I have been waiting all my life to utter the phrase, "Thank you, Batman" - so thank you for that too...) I'll give it a try on my next wick order.

Actually I skipped one part of my story here that the first dripper I bought was a SMOKtech rda. I had really no idea what I was doing, and no concept of why anybody would ever need anything beyond an eGo. And you can guess what I did: watched some youtube videos, went to my local vape shop, asked some advice, built up a little coil, and watched the faces of the shopkeepers turn to amazement, fascination, and modest horror as I started dripping on my eGo. It worked, sort of, for a little while, but then I learned the phrase "Sub-Ohm." Started buying mods, and my back pocket has had a hole in it ever since...

But my personal rule is that anything that keeps me away from smoking is worth the price. The short-term cost benefits are arguable (I wasn't too heavy of a smoker, maybe half a pack per day), but in the long term the benefits are priceless...

Oh man, with the hole in the bottom? That thing was f'ing evil, I don't understand how it was released.

Well we're pals now so you can call me db. In general, you should take my word for things but in this I'd encourage you to search the forum for threads on it as it wicks a little differently than cotton so the amounts you'll use could change.

Haha yeah there is ZERO juice well - the darn thing just drips all over the place. I still use it for fun though, in single coil experiments. I just posted a review last night of a bunch of the EC Blend novelty flavors (e.g., bacon, roast chicken, crab legs, etc.), and I used the SMOKtech RDA for that one on the iStick, with a 5-wrap micro coil with the dragon wick of organic cotton (~1.2 ohm, @ 13W):

Thanks db! (also something I've been wanting to say...) Here's my fun from tonight: a dual coil, 11-wrap of 28 gauge around three layers of 3.0mm silica, built on the Infinite CLT 2 and coming in at ~1.2 ohm. Pulling this one on the iStick too @ 15W - that is one versatile device... (and the Infinite always makes me proclaim, "I AM THE CLT COMMANDER!!!")

It's getting mighty foggy in this apartment...

(Thanks for the welcome, Adrian! You too!)
