For the step-by -step instructions given for the Dena!
here is my version utilizing the OKR-T/6-W12-C switching converter, I dressed it up abit with the wings....helps when sis-in-law is a graphics artist! 2 hrs after this pic was taken and alot of vaping.. I just looked at my voltage on the battery....8.21V ! this is with the Trustfire flaming 14500's.
Dirkbuddy is my nickname....hence the logo on the back of the unit.
Anxious to see how long batteries will last with the OKR-T/6, I've done other mods, but never used this switching converter before.
Going to tackle the Denali Next!

They are adhesive backed vinyl, sis inlaw has a puter program that she can basically copy anything and transfer it onto vinyl, she then cuts out the individual pieces and applies transfer film to make application easy. The wings are a logo from a german auto maker...so i cheated.
I order the 200 ohm trimmer, the black 10x5mm shaft, and the thumbwheel that fits the hex shape in the trimmer.
Here are the mouser part #'s
531-PT10MH-200 (200 ohm trimmer)
531-XEJPL5012-NE (5x10mm shaft)
531-XBOPL5034CR (thumbwheel)

ps. You only need the shaft if you would like to add your own knob, i didn't in this case as i used the thumbwheel instead.

Well to get a reply like that from the queen herself! Mamu you laid the groundwork for us hobbyists, in making us realize talents we never knew we had! I used to play around with electronics years ago. But now its building into an addiction! I'm sure i'm speaking for other modders as well! and its all because of your teaching with the schematics you post for us! Must be neat to sit back and see other versions of your originals... We owe you alot! Keep up the great work! And thanks for the comment!

Thanks expanderph2! The box I used was a plain die cast aluminum box (mouser# 563-CN-5701). I had to mill out the card guides that were on the inside to get everything to fit. What I did to the outside is called engine turning and I did that myself. It would have come out better if I had polished the box before I did the engine turning but I got impatient. I have seen an engine turn pattern in vinyl on ebay though.Silver Large Engine Turn Sign Plotter Cutter Vinyl | eBay
