To all and sundry here on the e-cigarette forum,

Thank You for all of the information and experience I have been able to glean as I lurked here as a non-member.

After being introduced to e-cigs by a cheap unit from a gas station, I went into the internet wilderness in search of a better way.

There, I was beset by a menagerie of salivating vendors in a mind-boggling jungle of dubious offers and questionable claims.

ARRG!

As I swung my mouse to slash my way through the thickets of confusing data, I happened upon some posts that guided me to the wealth of good advice here on this forum.

As a result, I am now the proud owner of a Joye eGo - T 900mAh (Type B) kit that periodically leaks as if e-liquid could be had at the nearest water fountain. (I pulled the trigger on my order before reading the discussions about fixing that.)

Even considering it's fickle leaking issue, I have already developed a wary friendship with it as we have begun to take the measure of each other over the past week.

Thanks to the members here, and Ty at Liberty Flights, the fix (I hope) is trundling toward me as I type - courtesy of the US Postal Service.

Please accept my appreciation for all the the help you have been so gracious to offer.

I hope that I may find a way to repay my debt, in some small measure, as I continue to peruse the conversations here.

Highest Regards Indeed,

SA Mariner

"There is always a learning curve to ecig stuff."

Isn't that the truth!

For a while there I wasn't sure what is was going to take to purchase with confidence - another degree, or a pair of Kevlar shorts.

Kevlar shorts and a big bank roll lol. It becomes a hobby, (the most expensive hobby I have) working on my '85 el camino is cheaper

"Are you taunting the hookah backpack crowd?"

Not at all Hoosier!

I'm just not ready to deal with Airport Security at that level.

"Living dangerously like the aquatic bird in your avatar I see."

Ah yes, it's the reason penguins are extinct in the arctic.

"Seriously, for just a moment, welcome to ECF."

A moment is a long time for me to be serious, but Thank You sir!

"Serious" is something I generally try to reserve for fine steaks and scotch - though I may also have to apply it to rationing the last 3mls of e-liquid on hand until my next shipment arrives.

Scotch?!

I'll give you a serious steak, but scotch is just lightly colored sillyness.

Bourbon always makes me smile though.

Ah! But inside the finest silliness you'll find a sly streak of seriosity.

Me too good sir!

I was introduced to it, many years ago, by a most charming young lady from Tennessee.

It has been a favorite ever since.

Yep, charming young ladies from Tennessee have always been a favorite of mine too. Something about the accent I believe...

I can tell you're a man of good tastes.

They are cunning though.
The one aforementioned was trying to take advantage of me.
I did the honorable thing though, and allowed her to do it.

"I can tell you're a man of good tastes."

As, I believe, are you.

My wife says though that I am also a man of dubious smells.

BTW: Let's not mention the lass from Tennessee around the Mrs.
Fruits of a misspent youth - and all that.

If your tanks don't have silicone bottom caps, order some. The plastic caps contribute to leakage. Leakage is worse if you put the tank eGo in your pocket and walk a lot. The walking/jogging up and down motion can increase leakage. That's one reason I like cartos for when I go out of the house.

DaveP!

I am honored to see you here on my humble thread.

I had planned to look you, up once I gained full posting privileges, to commend you on your advice and expertise.

(I agree with you about the dynamics of the air space in the tank - BTW.)

I believe it was one of your posts that initially clued me in on the need for the silicone caps.

As we speak, they are laboring their way to me - along with some cartos - on the back of some postal delivery beast.

"The walking/jogging up and down motion can increase leakage."

It seems that an arched eyebrow, muttered curse, or feeding after midnight will also make them leak.

Thanks for the tips that you have put out on the forum.

I am in your debt.

"Doesn't expecting the unexpected make the unexpected become the expected?"

I expect so.
