Since finding out about vaping I lurke (read) here a lot! After finding what works for me like dipping... then realizing the regular little e-stick battery wasn't cutting it for me in terms of longevity - the modders forum is awesome, you guys/gals rock!! So thanks for all your efforts to help me make my first yummy whistle pop :)

Body: Whistle
Battery: rechargeable 3.7 volts
Atomizer: m601/602
Additional parts: Wire/Spring/Thumb tack

I had full intentions to solder this together, but seems it worked without having to do so. Great vape - lasts soooo much longer :) .. It's my first battery mod, so it's real messy.. I would like to add a little led (only seen at night), and change the contact for the ground (switch).

Thanks again :thumb:

lol nicotime, though it doesn't whistle anymore - I think I broke it :D and yeah, replacing would be much easier if need be. All the magic is pretty much in the lid. I've had to remove the little ground switch for fear the electrical tape would rub off from the battery going in and out. Now I'm left with just having to ground the battery to the body from the bottom... which I was trying to avoid (bottom switch).. just not sure what I should put there permanently now. ugh.

Thanks for the feedback you three ;)

You might want to try some heat shrink tubing or even epoxy coat the contact if you have enough room. I know...finding tiny switches or ways to make contacts is a big problem with mods.

Keep it up...you can do it! Once bitten by the modding bug there is no escape...you've probably been eyeballing your lipstick tube for a mod already...haven't cha!!

Thanks everyone for your positive feedback, I really appreciate it :D

nicotime: thanks for your suggestions - I thought of doing that, but still up in the air with what to do. It's all about ease of use for me (meaning where my thumb lands haha)... I seem to like to hold it with my thumb or top finger depressing the switch, bottom seems so awkward but if I have to.... Hopefully I'll find something. And too funny, I have definitely eyed my lipstick! haha - especially the Avon ones, they would work great!!

42109: I am currently using a 14500 (Trustfire 900mAh 3.7v Li-on)

marya1144: you are too sweet :) Though, I can definitely suggest this to be a super easy mod for beginners!

Thanks totter ;)

Incase anyone wants to know: I ended up just placing a screw at the bottom for now. The whistle domes at the bottom, therefore negative doesn't touch the body that's why the screw. Looks weird now.. but works. Also the domey part slides up and down sorta tightly so that's how I activate it.. so far no accidents and I huck it in my purse, and have dropped it a few times lol. I notice as of late I just push it on my leg, little pinky, or table, then slide it back down when I'm done. I also added an LED for night viewing haha!

Once again no soldering, no wiring

  • screw
  • bolt
  • finished washer (aesthetics)
  • thumb tack
  • plastic from whistle to hold the thumb tack
  • LED wound around the thumb tack (cause I'm lazy)
  • fyi: the black you see holding the atty connector is a cut atty cartridge, cause I messed up and filed the hole too big. Therefore I had to slide a wire in between that and the atty to touch the body.. next one, I will make sure it's a tight new fit to the body... but works if you mess up!
Vapes all day just about! :w00t:
