The language difference can be quite a problem. There are words and phrases in any given language that do not translate well into other languages, not to mention slang. Heck, I am a member of a couple of Facebook groups where many members are from the UK, Australia, New Zealand, etc. We all speak the same language, in theory, yet I am always seeing posts requesting translations of certain words, phrases, slang expressions, etc. The current owner and property manager of the house that we are renting are Chinese. English is the fourth language of the property manager, and I am not sure where English fits into the owner's language dexterity. Their English is very good, but I started using text messages rather than phone calls if I have to communicate with them, just so that we all have a chance to read things over several times and get on the same page. Sentence structure, as well as vocabulary, can cause misunderstandings.
I hope the OP can find a viable solution to his problem.
