I dont personally know anyone in my general vicinity that has switched to ecigs. And the smokers i know seem to think of it just as a fad and that i will be back to the analogs.

However, after 5 days of not buying cigarettes... Im looking at my little banner. wow! i have already covered the costs of my original equipment.

that said im still $150 away from breaking even 100% but i definitly have the supplies to make it there, and more! much, much more.

im stocked up with 3 battery's. 2 tanks, 20 atomizers, supplies to rebuild the atty's. and and variety of 200 ml worth of juice. with my current stock, vaping 3-5 ml a day, i should be able to hit between 40-65 days! for the sake of argument, i will say 52 days.

i WAS spending $9.90 a day on smokes on average... over 52 days would have been $515! not to mention i dont HAVE to buy more hardware! just liquid now! that will save even more! as well as the health benefits....

how fast you see the returns, and even the changes in energy and health is astounding.

anyways, ill end my rant. im just over the top with excitement and had to vent it somewhere! ha.

I'm pretty new, but still excited like you are! I smoked a couple of packs a day for over 40 years. I do not want to even figure out how much money went up in smoke all those years, let alone what I was doing to my body.

Switching to vaping for me has been almost painless. No withdrawals, no cravings. Amazing. I never would have believed it until I did it.:)

Big congratulations on your successful almost-a-week!

Greetings neighbor! (sort of).

You just keep ranting. Sounds like we have/had similar habits and quit about the same time (9 days ago for me). During my first few days I would have smoked moose placenta if it would take to a match. (It doesn't BTW). But it's easier now. I haven't stockpiled a lot just yet. Trying new things a bit at a time.

I broke even on original equipment yesterday. Only bought another tank and juice since. I figure I'll be in the black within a couple months if I keep my credit card in my back pocket for a while. <<<<might be tough to do. Too many shiny things out there!

Cost comes up zero on my radar compared to quitting a 40 year habit in one day. In my eyes, I could by 10 of everything out there and still be waaaaay ahead.

Hi messi and thanks for sharing your "rant". I love reading "rants" like this one. Not really sure if I have hit the break even spot yet, but I have enough gear to last me for close to a year, though only enough juice to last for the next 90 days...which means I will be ordering more juice (and probably more clearos and coils) sometime in the next couple of weeks. Oh, and will be ordering another sample pack with 5 new flavors (flavors unknown at present) so I can expand my juice horizon. I want to have more than 8 flavors that I really like in my bag of tricks (well, okay it's because I have a short attention span when I rotate flavors in the evening and want more variety quickly).

Sounds like you are doing great and the most important thing is that you haven't had an analog in more than 5 days. That is FANTASTIC.

Keep the vape and namaste.

I won't break even for a very very long time but that was of my own choosing. Monetarily that is. Health benefits are already priceless... I quit Nov 16 2012 and haven't looked back since but I also have no intention of stopping vaping either. I haven't been sick since I quit smoking, I can breathe, I don't wake up with soar throats anymore, and I just feel healthy. Until I start thinking about my break even date again.........
