Why guys,

In the last week since I've been back on my pv, I've knocked my analogue US down from 20 rollies a day (without pv) to 10 last week and now 5 a day. That pesky first one in a morning really gets to me though! If im honest, the first 2 of the day- one while the kettle boils and one after I've drunk my tea.

Do any of you have any advice for overcoming it? The rest of the time isn't too much of an issue and i keep thinking 'rach, just use your pv!' and it works- its just in the morning when i really struggle...

Thanks muchly in advance...x

most people ecf will say that the ones you didnt smoke are what counts. some quit on the first day and some take days, weeks, or months. the day my lavatube (which is broken now) came in, I filled up my clearo, popped in an 18650 and vaped away. I bought a pack without knowing my vape mail came in. the first thing I did was step on that pack before I even opened it.... waste of 6 bucks

I wish I could help but that's a hard time for me as well. It really comes down to force of will for me, I still want that rush of nicotine you get from an analog when I first wake up.

I had to bury my analogs somewhere deep in my desk at night. That way it was too much work to dig them out early in the morning, so I would just use a PV that was easier to grab.

I can't help you much because I do the same, I'm down to one smoke a day and thats my morning smoke....gotta have it

But I will just vape the morning away and thats coming damn soon....

Exactly the same as me but I also smoke after eating dinner. Still only 2 per day and before it was 20-30 per day. I still want to knock out those last two. maybe soon when my Projuice samples come (4RY, Honey and Cherry Dr. Pepper). I figure it will take time for me to find that perfect juice for right when I wake up and after a dinner. Dekang watermelon is my all day juice right now but it doesn't work for a right-after-dinner-juice.

I can't tell you how reassuring that is! Thank you all! I consider it a big achievement that last week i only bought 25g of my rolling tobacco rather than my usual 50g because i had the confidence in myself that i wouldn't need more...when i buy 12.5g for the week, we're throwing a party, right?! And when i buy none i vote for a massive party!lol!

Im intrigued by the 'all day vape' concept...i use a tobacco flavour all day but i have some cherry stashed away somewhere...maybe that could be worth a shot! Hmmm... Either way, im looking forward to going home for xmas and showing my family what i can do! My dad and gran will be thrilled!

Try sticking your cigs in the freezer, so you have to work at getting to them. Don't bash yourself, though, I'm sure you will get to the point that you don't want them any more. How much nicotine is in your juice?

It took me a few days, but I just kept pushing that first one off further and further, and one day I didn't ever get around to lighting up. It was as much a routine change as anything else. Now I don't even vape until after breakfast. But don't sweat it, you're doing great!

my first cig of the day was hard and that is what I did. at first I made myself vape and wait for 10 minutes. the next day I did a 20 min. vape and wait. I continued that until after a week or two my first cig was at 1 in the afternoon. I do still smoke 2 cigs a day, right before bed. but I'm old and I want to. if I am out of town or have company or otherwise busy I have skipped them.

I found not stressing out about it helped the most :)

You are doing GREAT! There are way more cigs that you HAVEN'T smoked than you have.

I use a higher nic in the morning and sometimes, I have one PV in each hand, and take turns, LOL! I'm sure I look pretty silly, but hey, if it works, I don't mind looking silly!

It shall be called ... Power Vaping! LOL

I'm still struggling, especially with that first one in the morning. I've found that telling myself that I can't have one stresses me even more and makes me want one more. What I do is to give myself permission to have that cig, but I have to do something first. I smoked menthols and have an extra vv box mod loaded up with a very strong menthol juice at a higher nic level than I usually vape. I tell myself that before I can have that sig, I have to take some puffs of the strong juice. I have a set number of puffs and have the vv box mod cranked on to give me big clouds of vapor and a strong hit. I've been gradually bumping the number of required puffs upward. I can then go have my cig, but find that I want to less often. Some day, I'll find the magic number that works for me. Meanwhile, the process allows me to wake up a bit and allows my conscious mind a little more control of the situation.
